Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1975 Triumph Trident T160. This was the first and last year this motorcycle was manufactured. It has both electric and kick start. Both are in excellent working condition. I have rebuilt the engine only using he best available parts. It is bored .10 over with new main bearings. The crank was balanced. I used Hepolite rings pistons, Kibble white valves. There is now about 1200 miles on the lower end. I replaced the oil pump with a brand new one. It is not a smoker LOL. Side cases have had all nicks removed and polished. About 200 miles ago I decided to fix some top end leaks and honed the cylinders as they were well in spec, replaced the rings- again with Hepolites’ bead blasted the cylinders and head and reassembled to torque specs. It runs like a champ. 200 test miles. There are a few minor lower end leaks from me changing the original lunch box carburetor air cleaner to screw on velocity stacks. The oil pressure line is routed to the lower end as it can’t run through the carburetor anymore obviously. I have the original air cleaner still- it goes with the bike. I have added a tri-spark ignition to the bike, top of the line from Australia. The tach and speedo have been rebuilt, work fine (Palo Alto). Horn works. Neutral switch is not working- may be bulb- switch is new and was working until last week. Tires are new, brake pads new, both master cylinders new. Rotors have been drilled. Spokes are stainless steel. All turn signals, tail light and side reflectors are Lucas. Not re-pops. Chrome is real good. Brand new exhaust and mufflers. I had the down pipes ceramic coated to reduce any blue discoloration. And they are correct for a T160 only. The paint job is motiffed like the factory- Cherokee red candy red over gold with clear top coat. Instead of the white scallops I laid variegate red gold leaf. It’s very sharp. The white pins stripes are hand painted like the factory ones were. I have owed this bike for about 15 years and it was my Triumph rider. I have a 1974 T150 that I have added an electric start two and don’t need to keep up with two of them. I have 10 other collector bikes I need to be working on- 1948 Vincent Rapide, 1926 Indian Big Chief etcetera. I restore motorcycles as a hobby and have won many awards nationwide, but I’m 61 and time is running fast. The bike has 7400 original miles on it and can be ridden or showed as soon as the new buyer receives. You will not be disappointed with the bike. Oh number match. Clear and current Texas title. Has a new battery as well. If YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME. Bike’s reserve is slightly under market for what has been done to it. On Sep-19-15 at 17:26:29 PDT, seller added the following information: This bike is for sale locally. I decided I will not charge to deliver the bike to a crating or shipping company as long as it is in the Houston Texas area. I have lowered the price just about as far as I can go. Can't give it away. No extra tank no offers Done, Thanks
