You will notice that the vast majority of motorcycle restorations in this price range take a "good enough" attitude toward minor details, requiring a litany of small nuisance fixes after the purchase such as turn signals failing to flash, high or low beam not working, a slipping clutch, squealing brakes that drag / don't fully retract. We are hawks on those details specifically as to avoid that experience. It was originally from Stockton CA where it sat in storage since 1981. We stripped the bike down to the frame and engine and performed the following work- -Frame was sanded, repainted and clear coated- looks beautiful! -Brand new, factory correct Planet Blue Metallic paint on gas tank and side covers, as well as brand new NOS gas tank HONDA emblems and CB750Four side cover emblems -All aluminum engine covers were buffed to remove all oxidation -All hardware was removed from the bike and put through a walnut shell tumbler and clear coated. Looks very clean! -All chrome parts such as fenders, headlight brackets, exhaust pipes were taken off, treated to remove signs of aging and rust. -Brand new wiring harness, and antiquated / unreliable glass fuse panel was upgraded to modern buss fuses -Has original 4-4 exhaust and it sounds really nice. The #1 pipe was welded at one point, which you can see in the photos. -Seat is original and does have one imperfection in the vinyl where it rubs against the oil dipstick when opened -Steering bearings and retainers removed, cleaned & re-greased and reinstalled -Front disc brake system thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt. The caliper was taken apart and honed, fitted with a new caliper piston seal. Master cylinder was cleaned and rebuilt, then bled / flushed with all new brake fluid. -Inner rear brake hub surface was sanded out to remove all corrosion -Brand new Shinko 712 series tires and tubes made by Yokohama -Carburetors were disassembled, put through our ultrasonic cleaner, further cleaned by hand to insure all passages were clear and reassembled with K&L rebuild kits -Front forks were taken apart, fork legs buffed free of all oxidation and cleaned out in the solvent tank to remove all old fork oil / grime; refilled with new PJ1 30 Wt. fork oil and fitted with brand new K&S fork oil seals -Brand new WPS 530 drive chain -Brand new Motion Pro throttle and clutch cables -New Castrol 4T motor oil and Emgo oil filter -Brand new NGK spark plugs and plug boots -Brand new clutch and brake levers, clutch cable adjuster and pivot bolt -Brand new WPS 12v battery -Ignition timing and valve clearances were checked and adjusted to correct factory spec. -ALL switches and lights operate perfectly, charging system works perfectly and the components were tested to make certain they do not get hot -New fuel line and fuel filter -Final stage, all encompassing safety check to ensure all new parts were installed correctly, ALL bolts properly tightened with correct washers, and all safety locking pins and fasteners firmly in place.
