1962 Chevrolet CorvetteConvertible Up for auction is a rare 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. The car is stunning with excellent red paint, very good chrome, beautiful red interior and a red hard top. 4 speed manual transmission. Mileage is 63,191. The car is in excellent condition with very nice interior, chrome and paint. Stored in a carpeted and climate controlled garage with other collector cars, the car was always stored during winter and was used for special occasions in nice weather only. I am listing the car for an older gentleman who has a large collection that he has decide to thin out. It is not my car so you would be buying the car from my friend but I can ask him questions and with some notice can arrange to show the car. The lights work correctly, the radio works, all the gauges work with the exception of the clock. No rust is noted on the chassis. I am told the engine is correct to the period but not this car in particular. The casting number is 3782870, the number on the pad is FO528SA. Also, the tach has a redline of 6500 RPM and looks original. I encourage you to ask questions and come for an inspection. Mike I have been getting lots of questions:1. The car is a hardtop only car, it was built this way, never had a soft-top. Please note the rear deck has no holes for soft-top attachment and it never did.2. The title is clear.3. I would rate the car as a solid number 2 condition. It is easily worth the buy it now price. TERMS AND CONDITION OF THIS AUCTION This Corvette is being sold with a very reasonable reserve. You are entering an enforceable contract when you bid and win an auction. There is a $1000 deposit due within 48 hours of the close of auction. Balance is to be paid and the car picked up within 10 days of auction end. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will work with the winning bidder on pickup time as long as it is agreed upon by both parties. This doesn't change the payment terms for this auction.
