This is an opportunity to get your hands on a wonderful late restoration classic with less than 5,000 miles! The Model A turns over without any problem, idles great, and drives well on back roads or highways. Mostly stock with very little modifications such as the addition of an anti sway bar and more modernized shocks from Ken Davis - these safety features can be removed if you want the car to be more mechanically true to stock. Newer 6v battery. Radiator and engine working great. All steel with no fiberglass or bondo that I can tell. Even the bumpers are accurate with properly chromed finishes. Interior is in nice condition. The steering wheel has some minor cracks and a couple screws are patinaed, but the fabric, paint, and dash are in great condition. The lights and gauges work. The speedometer is starting to get off calibration - but is really only noticeable when going over 40 mph. The fabric is not original, but is in great condition, looks nice, and compliments the car well. Instrument cluster has like new chrome finish with lots of shine. Floor is solid with floor mat. The exterior paint is starting to show it's age, but is still in nice condition. The black fenders have cracks and there is some paint wear including chips on the hood hinge. Good quality pin striping. Roof is in great condition too. The rumble seat creates a lot of interest. No rust, straight body, doors open and close great, overall in solid condition. Recently I was going to drive this on a 200 mile trip to Detroit to attend the Old Car Festival, but rain hindered those plans - I had no concerns about the reliability of this Model A. I am trying to streamline my projects and vehicles (I own a Model T and a Willy's Jeep) - I have too many projects. Sadly needs to find a new home. I'm including extra parts (new and used), manuals, and other goodies that belong with this Model A. Not sure it really adds value to the car, but it's worth the bragging rights that this Model A was used in a 2017 movie release titled A Long Home (starring Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston, James Franco, Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Nat Wolff, John Savage and Sam Shepard). He said the car is in solid condition mechanically. He would drive it across state lines without too much concern. He described the frame as clean and straight and a good engine too. The car does leak some oil, but nothing unusual for a Model A or symptoms of any problems. While this is a great daily driver and looks nice, it would take some work to be a judged at a professional show car. It has enough solid bones and period correct features, but in order to be a professional show car it would need repainted since the paint is worn with cracks and chips. While the interior is in great condition, the fabric is not period correct and a judge would doc it some points. For what it's worth, he also added the exterior painted pin stripes are the correct color for this year and model, but that would have been a dealer add on and not from the factory. Also white walls were also normally a dealer add on. Overall a thumbs up. One person is telling me this Model A color scheme may not have been used on this particular body style. I guess it depends on who you ask. If you're looking for a Model A as a daily driver (like I've been using it), this car will serve you well. This is not a car you can take off my driveway and go directly to a judging competition.
