Vehicle Detail
Here I have for sale is one clean BEAST of a MACHINE. I bought it a few months back thinking of keeping it for a long time. However, the bills being paid take first priority. So let me start off with the Pros. done by previous owner Pros- Had transmission rebuild within last 2000 miles with kevlar bands. Stated he had paperwork, but didn't provide upon sale(it shifts smooth and strong as it should) -New power steering seals and lines with larger trans cooler. -New wheel hubs on both sides -Said he had new front brakes and rotors installed 500 miles before I purchased it. So they may have 1000 or so now. -New performance ball joints. -35's BF Goodrich all terrains with about 70% tread left. With Chrome American Racing Wheels in great condition. -4in body lift with a 5.5in suspension lift, shocks still work great. -The 5.7 engine runs and drives great no problems (THE CHECK ENGINE IS ON THOUGH showing codes p0137,p0122,p1406) will explain those later - Has really low miles for its age 131300 (my miles may go up slightly) - 4x4 does work great. -It did pass emissions so you won't need it for another year. The cons- The radio/cd player doesn't work. The display screen will light up, however can't get music to play. I bought a pair of jvc speakers for the doors to see if that would fix it. I may be able to get them put in before auction is over. I will update status if and when I am able to. ---- UPDATE I had the stereo checked out. It looks like the previous owner had the system to run off an amp. So you will need an amp to have music. You can also rewire the system to have the speakers run directly to cd player and not through an amp. The speaker still works on drivers side. It is a kicker brand (with a huge magnet so should have good watt capabilities) The wires are still there for amp. The cd player is old and I would recommend replacing because it makes a humming sound on occasion .(sony x-plod). - The a/c has a heavy leak in system. Have not looked into where it is coming from. When I did put r134a into system the compressor did kick on so that is a good sign. - The blower fan under passengers feet needs to be replaced it is really loud. - The switch that turns the blower fan on only works when turning it to highest output. The switch I believe should be replaced. - The tan leather seats are not in the best shape so I bought some seat covers and steering wheel cover to help with the aesthetic feel of the interior. - The check engine codes can be explain as follows.. The throttle position sensor could be loose causing a code pop up. The EGR may just need cleaning because one of codes shows that is the probable cause. The oxygen sensor looks to be the other reason that check engine light is on. I bought the 4 oxygen sensors I could let go with truck if I can get what I want for truck. I posted the links so you can research it for yourself as well if you wish.Update- I decided to go ahead and have the bank one sensor 2 oxygen sensor put on to see if that will get rid of that engine code. obd-codes.com/p0137obd-codes.com/p0122engine-codes.com/p1406_chevrolet -The passenger side has a pretty good size dent right around the rear window. -The abs light is on. It needs new one I have tried to look into it some and it looks like my model is the one that has the sensor by the transfer case in back. It does cause the brake pedal to pulsate and brakes make a funny sound sometimes. It doesn't happen often, usually at low speeds before coming to a complete stop. -It is a lift truck so the steering takes some getting use to not very responsive at low speeds. -It is not a new truck so you can't expect perfect light scratches and a few dents and interior is not new quality. -Paint is in good to fair shape it still shines, but it does have some clear coat peel on hood. -The power motor in driver seat doesn't work. I am 6'0 and I sit comfortably in seat. -No spare tire (however, I can throw in a hi lift jack that I bought that can help off-set some of cost of new rim and tire). -The speedometer reads off by about 10-15mph. But you will notice on interstate that it says your going 90mph when you can tell you are only going about 75-80. - In conclusion, it is a very solid beast that will get you from A-B and MORE for many more years to come. Get it while you can because this will be the only time listed on EBAY because I will try and just keep it because I really don't want to sell. I try to be very thorough and honest as I want to keep my 100% positive feedback.-IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 POSSITIVE FEEDBACK I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID. SORRY JUST HAVE HAD TO MANY SCAMMERS IN THE PAST.
