Up for sale is a 1989 Buick Electra Park Avenue Ultra. This model was the top of the line luxury car put out by Buick in 1989! Last week I drove this car 1,250 miles from Rockford, IL to Miami, FL, so it is definitely a safe, ready-to-go-anywhere car. This car is almost all new under the hood. The documented work that has been done to it in the last year include: new alternator, new radiator, new accumulator, new belts, oil change and tune-up, new rear brakes, new tires, new power steering lines, transmission fluid flush and replacement, and new windshield wipers. The engine runs great, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The interior is in great condition needing only a headliner replacement. Like most Midwestern cars, there is some rust on the lower body of the car, but it is not to the point of no return. It needs a new power antenna and a new tank for the windshield washer fluid. The air conditioning does work, but a new evaporator needs to be installed. The shop I took the car to to have the ac worked on installed an evaporator for a 89 Electra wagon - I was leaving for FL that day, so I didn't want to wait for them to change it out. So, the system works, but the part just needs to be installed. Overall, this is a very reliable car, and I would trust it to drive anywhere. Unfortunately, I no longer have room for it, so that is why it needs to go. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more photos.
