COMPLETELY REBUILT ENGINE IN 2014 see ENGINE We love this vehicle more than I can express but we are often on the road and moving frequently and unable to take it with us. Its been with us all over the country and has had an amazing life, we are looking for someone to take care of her and give her love. Interior · All upholstery and cushions in good condition. · Front Driver and passenger purple fuzzy head seat covers optional · No strange smells or odors. Van has been non-smoking and no mold or rot · The two front seats have adjustable armrests, sliding, and rotating in good condition. Camper equipment · All original equipment in very good condition: curtains have been replaced with orange and navy custom sewn black out curtains, they are adorable and MUCH MORE functional than the original burlap curtains (see pictures), pop top functional with a few small holes and tears, but totally functional canvas, even in rain. · Each of the two front seats can be fully rotated for maximum interior camper seating. Have been greased and maintained. · Westfalia sink with (cold) water faucet, 2-burner stove, and water reservoir/pump all in very good condition. Barely used. (we never used it) · Refrigerator functional. Still works on 110 volt and 12 volt DC (both fine) and propane. The latch on the fridge is finicky, We used a heavy water bottle to keep it closed securely- but its an easy fix if you order a latch from gowesty.com · Utility drawer, pantry and six additional storage compartments/closets painted and glossed light blue and light yellow- very stylish and completely functional · Upper bed cushions in excellent condition, never used. · Both removable and adjustable tables are in perfect condition. · Bench seat functions properly and changes into and out of bed position easily. (47” x 74” bed) · Mosquito netting snaps into place so rear hatch can be left open. · Full set of re sewn privacy curtains with all snaps and slides in good working order. Optional/Additional features · New radio/CD player with iPod cable. (the speakers in the van seem to only be 100% functional on the drivers side and 50% on the passenger side, probably an electrical wiring issue) · After-market 12V power outlet-cigarette light installed in dash. Body · Before we owned this vehicle, It was garaged for 10 years, and had no rust. This vehicle has been in Vermont over the winter · original paint, in decent condition overall. · While mechanically and functionally sound, our beloved Westy does have a few cosmetic imperfections that you can view in the photos – The front bumper guard has a dent in the passenger side and a small dent in the back. (see photos) · This vehicle has never been involved in any major accidents or collision with another vehicle · Spare tire Mechanical condition ENGINE: · ****IMPORTANT**** The vehicle itself has 168,000 miles on it, BUT the BRAND NEW ENGINE that was rebuilt in Flordia has ONLY aprx 2,000 miles. In spring of 2014, the old engine died on us when we were driving back to Chicago from Flordia, and we decided to get it COMPLETELY REBUILT from the ground up. We worked with some of the BEST VW mechanics in the country (Jasons Bug Ranch) and rebuilt the new engine. It purrs like a kitten and we have had no major problems. · No oil or coolant leaks. new gear oil front diff and transmission and engine · Brakes, steering and handling are all in great shape. · Van can drive 60+ MPH on flat highway (but obviously slower up hills). - Sometimes the RPM guage gets stuck and is not functional, then you hit a bump in the road and it works again—not sure why, probably wiring. all other gages are working great.
