Up for auction is our 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has been owned by one family since new. My dad bought it new and has been handed down through the years. My youngest daughter drove it up until she went to college this fall. With 292,000 on it, I believe it still has some life and some miles left in it. Thats why the starting bid is so cheap. The cool thing about this van, and we've used it many times camping, is that the back seats fold down into a bed, of sorts. We would put an egg crate on top of it and some blankets and was amazingly comfortable for 2 people. The bad is the power steering rack leaks, and it has a slight exhaust leak around the muffler. It has 2 relatively new tires and 2 older tires but decent tread all the way around. It has a recent tune up and radiator, hoses, belt. The a/c evaporator does leak but it will hold a charge for the summer months. I never fixed it because I always had access to plenty of freon. So I would just charge it up for the summer. It hasnt been on a trip longer than a 30 mile radius. How it would do on a long drive, I have no idea and would recommend against it until you had your mechanic take a look at it. Remember it had almost 300k on it.
