1980 Mercedes Benz 450SL (LAST YEAR) for the Famed 450. Double row timing chain, 8 Cylinder bullet proof engine that runs and shifts beautifully. Nothing is finer than tooling down the road with the top down on this car. Handles magnificently and excellent braking as well. This car is a DAILY DRIVER and is turnkey with nothing mechanically wrong. It is a solid California body with NO ROT OR RUST. Has one minor dent beyond passenger door and that's it. NO pits in the chrome. ALl the lights and gauges operate as they should and engine bay is very clean. Matching Hard top comes with the car and convertible top is in very good condition. Only a couple minor cuts from the mechanical device that holds it in place which is very common but the windows are very clear and top is more than functional. All tires are new and upsized from the original equipment so the car sits a bit higher. Interior is flawless with NO rips or tears on the seats or dash or the wood grain. This is a true classic and is only going up in value over time. Nothing will stop this particular car from going I would drive it anywhere. Rims are stock from that era and trunk does not leak. Undercarriage is extraordinary due to it being in California up until last November when I brought it back. Paint show oxidation from strong west coast sun so I recommend a high end buffing or respray at some point but not necessary. Doors open and close and lock well. The steering radius on this model is amazing and once you drive one of these you won't want to drive anything else.
