Isn't it time you started living your adventure lifestyle? This is one of the best-equipped D2's for sale in the country right now, truly one of a kind. The previous owner invested a lot of money in making this the ultimate rig for anything the trail can throw at it...all the while maintaining comfortable on-road manors and capabilities..over 30k invested in this D2. The stock 4.6 petrol engine was pulled in favor of the venerable International HS 2.8L Power-stroke Diesel equipped with a Variable Geometry Turbo. This is truly a remarkable power plant and essentially a nicely re-engineered 300TDI equipped with more efficient fuel delivery and way more power. This engine alone costs over 7k new if you are lucky enough to find someone willing to let one go. They are highly sought after and add tremendous value to Rovers. Currently, there are less than 10k miles on the engine. The body has 178k, but the whole drive-train was completely gone through and rebuilt during the conversion so it's mileage is inline with the engines. This D2 is ready to go for another 100k+. These engines have an expected service life of well over 300k miles with only 10% of them needing and overhaul at 160k miles....that's an incredible B10 rating that the 300TDi can't touch. This truck will seriously last for a looooooong time if properly cared for. There are no known issues with the driveability or running of this Rover, it scoots smoothly down the road and is very quick when driven correctly. It is a 15yr old vehicle so it will have the usual signs of age and isn't cosmetically perfect, but is more than worth what you will pay. The turbo spool noise is superb and gets the attention of all in the area. With some fine tuning for each individuals personal needs this D2 would be the ultimate adventure-mobile.The factory radio is currently not working, so that will need to replaced.
