1957 Chevrolet Convertible.Rare factory 2x4 barrel project carthe original motor was gone along time ago,this car has been sitting since 1969.Its said that there was around 1,500 2x4 cars made,they came with 4.11 positraction,3 speed transmission, and 3/8 fuel line,send unit,the original type 3/8 fuel line clips are not reproduced,this car has them,the engine and trans are missing but the 4.11 posi is there,along with ten leaf per side leaf springs that point to the cars early years,along with wood clutch pedal stop you can see in picture next to dimmer switch,there was white paint that was put over factory black fenderwells very early in its life,theres a up close picture of it,they had tinted the windows with blue paint,shaved door handles,trunk,custom interior.. she was a hot mama 46 years ago.then while the car was still at body shop.the car was stolen for the wheels,it was recovered but when they took off the wheels they put a jack stand under left qtr/ rocker,in front of rear tire drivers side,the stand punched a hole thru it,in the pictures,above it is good,the rest of that qtr. panel is excellent.theres nuthin on this car that cant be fixed.but that was in 69 the guy at the body shop ended up with the car.43 years later I purchased it from him around 3 years agoOriginal colors were Larskspur/harbor blue,with rare blue convertible top,that only came on this color combinatiuon,the firewall color tag is missing,the vin tag is there never been messed with,matches title,in my nameThe rolling body is basically all there,its missing the stainless on right side vent window,the glass isn't in that door but I have it,no front seat,comes with springs assemblies for the back seat.missing behind grille corner pcs,no radiator,it has old 59 short block,original bellhousing inside floor pans are ok (seen a lot worse),basically 4 corners where a brace sits on top rite around the edge and rust spot next to seat on each side.toe boards,firewall no dents or rust.Beautiful uncut,dash board,has original key in ignition,has all the convertible windshield stainless,the top framework is in good shape,the cylinder mounts on wheel well are solid,it will need rockers and some outer floor braces,tailpan,the worst rust is on the trunk sidewalls,the center of the trunk and top,inner wheel wells,are solid where the pump sits,both qtrs.are original and need love from a experienced person.nice front fenders,hoodif reserve is met,a 500.00 deposite thru pay pal would be needed to hold car until it is paid in full,inspections are welcome .feel free to ask any question thru email or land phone 330-784 1783 9-6 pm east side,after those hours leave a message/# and will call back asap
