Vehicle Detail
For your bidding pleasure, one 1986 Porsche 944 with automatic transmission. We obtained this car from an elderly gentleman who had intended to fix a few things and use it as a sporty, economical daily driver, Health issues altered his plans. Indicated mileage is 83,202. We have installed timing and balance shaft belts, changed the oil and filter, rebuilt the power steering pump and replaced A/C-alternator belt and power steering belt. The car runs nicely, shifts well and generally does everything a Porsche 944 is supposed to do. All electrical items work with the exception of the passenger window. We have not investigated the cause of it's malfunction. Even the sunroof works correctly. The car will need a new battery, as it had sat in indoor storage for 4 years prior to our ownership. The A/C has been converted to 134a, but needs a charge. The car was painted the original guards red at some point, and now the clearcoat is beginning to fail on the roof and hood. The body is straight, and these galvanized cars don't rust, The battery box is totally solid and unrusted. There is a bit of damage to the rockers, adjacent to the forward jacking points. Apparently someone inexperienced attempted to put it on a lift, and caused the damage. Pictures tell the story with the interior. This is a mechanically sound car in need of cosmetics. The phone dial wheels are free from curb rash; the tires are old, have cracked sidewalls, and need replacing. IMPORTANT: We have a NC title for the car from two owners back. On the back it was signed over to the person we got the car from. Do your research to ensure whether or not this is an issue in your state. This could be a great project to put back on the road, a solid foundation for a race car, or ??? We work on lots of 944s, and wanted to keep this one alive. We have sold lots of cars on eBay, and have a 100% satisfaction rating for a reason. Please ask lots of questions so you can feel confident about your bid. In person inspection is welcome and encouraged. If you bid and win, you are legally obligated to complete the transaction. You are bidding on a car, not the opportunity to come look and then decide. We will thoroughly and cheerfully answer any questions. Requests for detailed photos are no problem. 10% deposit via PayPal is required at auction end. Balance of payment and removal of vehicle from our shop is required within 7 days of auction conclusion. NO RESERVE! Good luck.
