Vehicle Detail
Porsche951 Store Here's an Excellent example of a true one little lady owned Mercedes Roadster. For her 50th birthday her husband bought her this special ordered 1985 380sl roadster. I was told that this is a 1 of 1 for the year, color, and options. She is now 81 years young and going into an assisted living home and has to sell the car. Car has been garage kept it's entire life and it shows. Driven only 2k miles a year in the best of weather conditions. Never been driven or caught in the rain. Awesome special ordered Anthrite Charcoal Metallic Pearl paint with close to new Mercedes deep red leather interior that shocks anyone who sees it by it's condition. This is the last year of the amazing efficient 3.8l V8 engine. What makes this car even more rare are the special (and expensive) factory options of Dayton Wire Wheels, Chrome fender strips (eye brows), and European headlights. All original documentation and books come with the car including the original bill of sale. This amazing and rare SL includes both hard and soft tops. The soft is new (black) and the tires are almost new. Best of the best anywhere. I tried to take high resolution pictures for your viewing pleasure. But you need to see this car in person because it's so stunning for a 30 year old car. This car is not detailed or armoralled up. The engine is not detailed either. This is how the car looks in it's natural state. Now the reason for selling. My parents had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and my dad had been wanting one of these cars for years. I sold a rare Porsche Turbo in order to buy this car for them. I got it last Saturday in Ohio and surprised my dad with it first thing Sunday morning for Fathers Day. At first he was upset and then he came around. He's 72 and can't get in and out of the car safely. My mother had a total knee replacement and cannot get in and out safely either. So my/our loss is your gain. I searched for 2 years to find a nice example of this car for my parents. Maybe it's about 20 years and better health too late for my parents. But you will be hard pressed to find a better example for the money. This car is now a classic and will only go up in value. I wanted to keep the original title for the car instead of losing it but her estate had to be transferred through a dealer. I did managed to get pictures of it though. I haven't transferred the car yet so it's still a one owner vehicle other than it may now show up the dealer hence the estate was to be sold that way. But I have the clear Ohio title in hand. I drove this car home from Cincinnati with zero problems. This car floats down the road with ease. Turns heads too. I have tried to explain this car to the best of my ability. The cars paint is unbelievable for it's age and is completely original. Car is being sold as is where is. And must be paid for in full before it leaves my possession. I will try to accommodate with shipping arrangements for this car if needed but at the buyers expense. Willing to meet the new buyer if necessary in Knoxville, Lexington, or Cincinnati northern KY airport after it has been paid for in whole. So Fly in and drive this car home. Hope someone will continue to love and take care of this excellent example of a Classic Mercedes Roadster. Bid with confidence and good luck. Car books through NADA as low $16000. Average $26000. High $36600. This car has been inspected by Haggertys Insurance and they appraise this car at $34000 with options. Hope this helps. Thanks.
