Vehicle Detail

80+ huge pics follow showing every nook and cranny of this great, rust free California Z71. Check out the clean carfax summary in the ebay hosted pics. It tells a good story, but here it is in a nutshell. It was in the GM factory executive program from new in 2001 to 2004, when the gentleman I bought it from purchased it for his wife. They owned it til Nov 2013, when I bought it from him, making me the third owner. The carfax says the 3rd owner came in 2014, but that's because I screwed up and forgot to turn in the rest of the docs needed to complete the transfer. There are several deferred maintenance issues that the next owner may or may not choose to address, such as the peeling clear coat on the hood (only the hood, the rest of the paint is very nice) and the small crease in the back right corner. The truck was a dozen years old with 175K miles when I bought it and those were things I could live with. There are a few more things that I've learned to live with, too, the first being a broken gas gauge. It's not an expensive fix, but my admittedly cheap solution is to reset the trip odometer to zero and fill it up. It will go 400+ miles on a tank, so I just fill it up anywhere from 200-300 miles and have never had a problem. The "low fuel" dash light stays on, though, as does the ABS and E-brake lights. I took it in to the dealership and they said that both of these systems worked fine but they weren't able to get the lights to turn off and stay off. So they're still on a year later and I simply ignore them. Finally, the truck is hard to keep aligned. No clue why, and the guy I bought it from said he finally gave up trying to figure it out and just bought tires more often. I've actually only had to align it once and haven't had to put on any tires. It comes with a file an inch thick with all the repairs and maintenance done by the previous owner and a few things I've done, too. If you're thinking about flying in to Palm Springs and driving home, that's great but I'd definitely have the fluids, brakes, etc. checked and or changed first. I can recommend a great mechanic. Any questions, just ask through the ebay messaging system and I'll answer the best I can. If you'd like to talk by phone, shoot me a note with your number and I'll call. Thanks! Finally, I feel the need to explain the negative feedback placed recently that dropped my score from the 100% positive rating it's been at for literally fifteen years, since I started on ebay. The guy who won admitted to me that he only stumbled across the auction with less than two minutes left, quickly skimmed through a few pics, did NOT read the description at all, which addressed all of the issues he ended up having a problem with. He's brand new to ebay with just 2 feedbacks and said that he assumed winning the auction meant he won the right to inspect the car, not that he was obligated to buy it. I didn't believe him for one minute and politely told him that winning the auction meant that he bought it, period. He didn't like that, and took the ugly and completely false accusations in his feedback. Bottom line: I've had 168 positive transactions in a row on ebay since 2001, many of which were cars, and I stand by that record. A complete idiot brand new to ebay had no business buying a car as his third transaction, and my feedback suffers as a result. He seriously thought he was getting a flawless Porsche for $1,950. Like I said ... complete idiot. I have filed a complaint with ebay to have this feedback removed, but it's still there as of right now. Thanks for looking at my auction and don't hesitate to reach out should you want to discuss any specifics about this Suburban.
