Vehicle Detail

Today we have a beautiful Barn Find from New Jersey. For years i had been admiring this car of a close friend of mine, and finally pryed it away from his white knuckled fists. I originally wanted to fix the small list of things from it sitting for so long, and use it to drive to our private shop. But as other projects have become needy, i have to sell this great car before i get used to it, and keep it. One more day of driving it and i swear ill garage it with the other cars! But anyway, to the important stuff. it was stored years ago to keep it from a bad divorce and ending up being converted into a vacation for a bitter ex. So it retains the second set of tires, which though have plenty of tread, "which proves to me it wasnt involved in burnouts, curbing, or uneven tread wear due to misalignment or neglect of maintenance, I wouldnt try to do over 100 mph cause of visible dry rot. The dash curls in the usual spots but can be repaired by sewing the pad ends down as shown on many Corvette forums. No blistering or cracks as it was kept in a climate controlled storage for most of its life. The interior is in terrific shape aside from the lower portion of the drivers seat, again normal for 50k to 75k miles on these models. the op operates perfectly and looks new. some seals mainly the b pillar should be replaced as usual due to age, but are cheap and available. Car does come with a new rear roof to rear deck seal but i never needed it. All powers work, radio is great and original. A/C blows cold, heat and auto mode works as should. Big surprise there to be honest, if you know these cars. the only interior issue, electrically, is the need for a new passenger window switch which is tempermental in the down position though up works normally. Mechanically car runs great as stated, though once a mo. i need to add fluid to the clutch master cyl. due to a failing self bleeding system on the slave unit. again, normal for this mielage. Clutch is new, as stated by the previous Owner. Going under the hood, it sounds like a valve tap on the drivers bank due to sitting in an open position for so long. an adjustment of the rocker and 20 minutes will fix this. lower end is solid no knocks, no exhaust leaks. We took our time bringing her back to life after being in storage for so long running oil through and over everything in the engine. emptied it then filled it again, before installing a new interstate battery. Car passes inspection and emission tests. and has no codes from the ecm. Have any questions please feel free to ask, we will have more classic cars and vintage bikes as we complete them. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you. Happy Bidding!!! ~Rich~
