Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. 200 Inline 6 with a 3 speed. No reserve. Clean and clear title in my name and in my hand so this car can be registered in any state. Will run and drive but it is a project car. I bought this car two months ago. A sore back at the time of purchase quickly turned into being laid up by the time I received the car. I drove it around the neighborhood once, parked it in the garage and have not touched it. It will probably be a few months until I can start working on it so I figured it is best to try and get most of my money back out of it. I usually spend my time with motorcycles and thought this would be a fun, short project in-between bikes but losing 3+ months due to my back was not the plan. Bought it in the same condition as it is in now. Body is in great shape and is in primer. The inside of the rear quarter panel on the driver's side will need patched. I tried to show it in the last picture. This is a great car for a minor project and daily driver or you can do a full restoration. The car already has some new parts on it (bumpers, door handles, etc). It also came with a few boxes of new and takeoff parts...it looks like window cranks, a headliner, drip rail, trim, misc weather stripping, seals, lock set, badges, gas cap, etc. The interior is in decent shape. Dash pad looks excellent, seat covers are good, carpet is usable or you can replace. The glass is good all around. The car also has Weld Racing Draglite wheels on it ($800+ for a set). It looks like they are 15x7 (4 lug). Since I have been unable to work on it, I started buying additional parts for it. All of these go with the car. Off the top of my head, there is a brand new Auto Craft Gold battery ($130), plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter, plug wires, distributor cap, points, condenser, rotor, carb rebuild kit, clips, trunk and hood bumpers, thermostat, and some other misc parts. Pretty much everything you need for a tuneup. I also bought 4 new seat belts. The engine seemed good as I drove it around the neighborhood. It does not leak. The transmission also shifted well when I drove it. Now that it has been sitting in the garage, there is a leak from the rear output shaft seal. I tried to capture this in the second to last picture. Should be a $10 fix and an hour of time. The brakes (manual drum) stopped the car so they are working but I do not know what condition they are in. Looks like a newer gas tank and the exhaust looks to be good. So the car is in good shape overall but it is a project. You can drive it a short distance but I would go through it before you put any miles on it. YOU WILL NOT DRIVE THIS CAR HOME. Car needs to be trailered or shipped. I have used uship.com for buying and selling bikes in the past and I have always been happy. The car is located 30 minutes south of Atlanta, GA. PICKUP CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME AFTER AUGUST 29TH. Car is sold as-is. No warranty. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
