1975 BJ40 Frame Off Restoration This is a museum piece. The donor vehicle was a 1975 BJ40 Toyota Landcruiser with only 2 owners and 77,000km (˜47k miles). The restoration took nine months to complete and cost over $50,000. The vehicle was taken down to the frame and stripped to bare metal. From there it received a top-notch mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Even though the low-mileage diesel engine ran like new, it was taken apart and rebuilt. Every piece of this BJ40 has been touched, and only the highest quality original Toyota OEM parts were used. No Chinese Parts were used, only genuine Toyota parts. Real leather seats. The floor mats were $3000 alone. Every nut and bolt has been replaced. New glass. Every effort was made to mimic that restoration down to the finest detail, and comparing the two vehicles side by side, it is very hard to tell the difference. My land cruiser, although it received the same restoration and may look exactly the same as that one, actually is far superior. It is what's under the hood that counts. Not only is this the diesel version, which Toyota never imported into the US, it will average at about 35mpg. These bullet proof engines will last forever and this diesel version of the FJ40 is arguably the greatest 4x4 offroad vehicle ever created. This is your chance to own a piece of history.
