This handsome convertible has a factory hardtop with stand and is a great driver with the tried and true 3.8L V8 mated to an automatic transmission! It has resided with the same loving North Carolina owners since purchased from car dealer in High Point, NC. They always kept the car garaged and seldom used the car, except for special events. Mercedes-Benz is one of the Big Three in Germany luxury car manufacturing. The SL class is one of 19 current mid-size models Mercedes-Benz current rolls out. The SL line has longevity; it is the second-longest series produced by M-B. It was code-named “R107″ inside Mercedes during the production phase. This Mercedes-Benz has a beautiful white exterior that still looks great. The paint looks awesome overall with some very minor flaws from its 30 years of age. The exterior also has the original chrome trim to help this Mercedes shine. The removable factory hardtop is also finished in white and is easily removed. The body still has the lovely flowing lines that classic Mercedes are known for. The original soft-top looks almost new and most likely was rarely used. The interior is finished with Navy Mercedes-Benz leather seats and door panels. The seats are in good shape, showing only a small amount of wear. The navy dashboard with wood veneer detail also shows well and has only very minor signs of cracking or fade on the pad. All the VDO black face gauges and horn are operable, and the SL comes with power steering, power brakes, power windows and air conditioning has been retro fit to R134A. There is also a factory equipped Becker AM/FM/Cassette stereo. Under the hood, this 380SL convertible has a 3.8L V8 power plant mated to an automatic transmission. The car sits upon a set of 14″ Mercedes Benz wheels wrapped in P205/70R14 tires that look great. This desirable R107 is the third generation in the SL class from one of the Germany’s finest luxury car manufacturers and would make an excellent driver for just about anyone! This vehicle is pristine, loved and cared for all these years. The only problem is the AC Blend door tends to stick, probably due to lack of use, I don’t think it would be an expensive fix.
