Smile for every mile...this iconic VW definitely puts a smile on everyone's face. 1960 Single Cab. Blue paint (just painted November 2014). 1600 engine. Safari Windows. Runs great/reliable daily driver. It has mechanically gone through the engine, brakes, shift linkage and electrical and have it in reliable working order. Clear title (title is in-hand) and current California registration. Pre 1973 means no smog check in California. Acquired in July 2012 from a VW enthusiast in San Diego has been stored inside in LA and very lightly driven in the three years since (acquired with 38,944 odometer reading in July 2012, currently has 39,214 miles). Strong running 1600 engine Spin on oil filter & Aux cooling fan in engine compartment Transmission shifts fine with New clutch (200mm) New German Master Cylinder & New brake cylinders and pads & New e-brake cable New 205/75/15 tires - approximately 400 miles on them 12 Volt System that ALL works (except 6v windshield wiper motor wiper switch operates cooling fan for engine) New 55 amp Alternator Rear Hella glass tail light lenses with new polished aftermarket rear light housings New WW license plate light housing, bulb, seal & lense Dash uncut. Has painted radio knock-out plate, OG bench seat , 3 seatbelts New Wolfgang Safari Windows & Seals. New side mirrors ,brand new thick rubber floor mat Completely restored door windows all new rubber and felt channels - work & lock New WW Vent wing frames & rubber & locks that work & lock (all OG glass) Gates and body pretty straight and clean. Gate hinges tight (lubing them as we speak) New german muffler Engine and transmission main seals replaced (were leaking) Oil Cooler seals replaced (were leaking) All fluids including trans and gear reduction boxes have been changed & maintained The front & rear suspension stock with New Empi Front Sway bar/Urethane bushings , has original front pan cover Pan is in good solid shape top & bottom. New paint as of November 2014, no visible rust Interior is mostly original and showing normal wear. All the main seals replaced Bumpers in great shape very sturdy and straight. I have the original key to the treasure chest and engine compartment sold as is where is. Prefer local sale in SoCal area and pickup.
