1965 2+2 Fastback Mustang, Engine 289 2V, Automatic Transmission, Drum Brakes, Exterior Blue and interior Black. Mustang Fastback is in very nice condition. A very well restored Mustang the restoration is freshly restored. I purchased this Fastback in running condition. It was in need of about 80 percent restoration. The engine, transmission and drive axle assembly are in good sound condition. Runs and performs very well. When I purchased this Fastback exterior and interior was black. The original color was Springtime Yellow which matches the VIN door data tag, as you can see I changed the color to Blue(close to Grabber Blue). Body Work The following body parts were replaced. Donor body parts Front Valance, Front Left Fender, New body parts hood, trunk, left rear lower quarter panel, right and left floor pans, rock guard, Front cowl upper and lower, doors, rockers, frame rails, sub frame connectors, engine apron panels interior (battery apron repaired), and trunk area all in very good condition. Front frame lower side has minor surface rust (no frame rot). Body was bare when sent to the paint shop resulting in full body paint. Engine 289 code 2V Engine condition very excellent running condition, has plenty of power rebuild date unknown. This engine has an attached Ford remanufacture data tag (normally a Fred Jones rebuild) which is included in the photos. Oil pressure is normal, and runs in the cool to mid-range temperature when engine reaches normal operating time. Alternator has been replaced and radiator replaced. Exhaust manifolds good condition no cracks, Points, condenser, and coil are new. C4 Automatic Transmission Transmission shifts and shifts to passing gear normally. Changed fluid (type F) main housing including and torque converter. Replaced transmission filter, resealed torque converter, and pump seal (at the torque converter to pump housing). Replaced start-neutral safety switch. Rear Axle 8 inch 3.25 open. No leakage and good condition Brake System Front drum brakes, brake shoes, and wheel cylinders replaced. Front wheel bearing repacked. Rear brakes good condition. Master brake cylinder Single bowl good stopping power. Brake system completely bled and serviced with dot 3 brake fluid. Emergency brake works properly. Brake system works well. Exhaust System New 2 inch exhaust with H pipe, and 2 dual chamber mufflers. Electrical System All wire harness’s unwrapped repaired or replaced when needed and rewrapped. Alternator charges properly. Dash lights, interior lights exterior lights, brake, tail lights, blinkers front and rear, head lights all work. Inside dash switches, heater blower motor, wiper assembly, radio (not new), horn rim switch, glove box lights all work properly. Interior Front and rear seat convers new, carpet new, sun visor and brackets new, rearview mirror new, window regulators cleaned greased and new rollers. Door panels and interior door handles good condition. Interior weather-stripping has been replaced. The rear seat is a 2+2 folds up and down correctly replaced rear seat carpet. Rear hatch door lever works properly. Seats slide easily full front and rear positions. Exterior Front and rear bumpers, fender emblems, tail lights, door handles, radio antenna new. Front turn signals refurbished new seals and lens. Head lights work good high and low beam. Wheels Tires are in great shape very little wear my guess 90 tread wear percent left. Aluminum wheels need work (polished but need more work) I will answer and forward any photos requested
