Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1962 Pontiac Catalina. This is a no reserve auction. If you bid, you will own it. This car has been extensively restored but not to factory specs. This is a fantastic looking and driving car. Like all cars of its age, it drives like an old car. If you are looking for a real head turner, that gets lots of attention, this is it!This car has lots of new parts. This includes break master cylinder, wheel cylinders, break shoes, break hoses, portions of the break hardware, and reconditioned break drums. It has a completely rebuilt Turbo 350 transmission with a custom shift kit, new transmission oil cooler and universal joints. The engine is a Pontiac 350 ci The engine was not rebuilt but also has lots of new parts including a timing chain, water pump, alternator, starter, Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor, distributor module, distributor cap and rotor button, coil plug wires, spark plug wires and spark plugs, starter, fuel pump, fuel filter, rear main seal, all new hoses, oil pan gasket, timing cover gasket, front crank seal, valve cover gaskets, and intake gaskets. The valve covers are stainless steel, off of a 1979 TransAm -- these are hard to come by!The car also has a new fuel tank, fuel tank lid, battery, 2 1/2" aluminized exhaust with Flowmaster knockoff mufflers (sounds great!), sealed beam halogen headlights, taillight lenses, windshield seal, rear window seal, trunk seal, roof rail seal, door seals, window felt, door handles, and front and trunk arrowhead badges. The interior is all custom, with a new steering wheel, new carpet, door panel boards, window cranks, door handles, armrests, and more! The car has correct 15" steel wheels, with correct poverty caps. The car has a new trunk floor pan. The car could still needs a few things such as, the bumpers need to be rechromed, the windshield wiper motor is missing, the fuel gauge level is incorrect, the dash lights do not come on (this may be a fuse and I intend to check it this week), tires have good tread but some dry rot, the trunk lid has a small blister in the paint (I will provide a picture however it is hard to tell), the hood has some light sand scratches that can be seen at the right angle but are not too obvious. The windshield has a chip on the passenger side but is small and not noticed at all during driving (coming from a guy who always notices chips). This car has been lowered with front coils cut and rear coils clamped. This has been a labor of love for me and like all project cars it is never really done. This is a very good car for cruising. It is not super fast, but has plenty of power to have a good time. I am sure that I am missing lots of parts that are new. Thanks for looking. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
