Vehicle Detail
We are selling our 1979 Dodge Diplomat Medallion 2-Door Coupe with 59,933 miles. It has a 318ci V-8, automatic trans, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power seat, and power locks. The exterior color is Teal Frost (code SG4) with a 1/2 white vinyl roof (code V3W). The shocks, ignition, heater core, heater control, and window motors were replaced a few years ago and the battery is new. The car starts, runs, and drives well. It is located in the Philadelphia suburbs and is PA inspected through 7/31. We have owned this car since March, 2008 and it was primarily used by our son when he was in college. It was originally sold and serviced by Jarrett Dodge in Hatboro, PA. The body is solid, but the paint is faded. There are a few spots of surface rust on the horizontal surfaces that can be sanded out. There is an oil-can dent on the front left fender. The a/c system works, but does not hold a charge due to a slow leak in the evaporator core. The power locks and cruise control are not currently working (unsure why, they used to work). The left taillight is missing a small section of red plastic. The original am/fm radio is out of the car (we still have it) and was replaced with an am/fm/cd player with an Apple connector and twin MTX 9" sub-woofers in the trunk. The trans shifts well, but is slow on the initial start-up of the day. We have a new trans filter and gasket that should take care of this. The glass has no chips or cracks. The tires are in good condition and have plenty of tread. This car is being sold as-is, where-is, with no expressed or implied warranties. The car is being advertised locally and the owner retains the right to end the auction at any time if a buyer is found through other means. This is a unique and fun automobile that would make a great daily driver, restoration project, or street rod. Thank you for viewing this car and we look forward to receiving your bid.
