1995 white BMW 525i sedan with beige leather interiorA/T, PS, PWI love this car. This is a great car. I wish I could keep it.I'm the second owner. I bought it with 78k mi, it just turned 279k mi. It's been lovingly maintained and has a bunch of new/recent parts.The Good:Good paintcold ACNew radiatorNew thermostatNew headliner (no sags!)New high-flow performance air filterNew sparkplugs (recent tune up)New brakes/brakepadsNew headlights and headlight assembliesGood tires (replaced ~12,000 miles ago)Original BBS wheelsSunroofInterior is in fantastic shape - no tears at all (especially for the age)All power options - and they all work!Gets between 22 and 25 mpgDid I mention I love this car?The Bad:I'm pretty sure it has a cracked head. It could be that the head gasket just needs to be replaced, but odds are that the engine got too hot and cracked the head. That's it. Nothing else bad. (but that's bad enough I suppose).Assuming the head is bad and needs to be replaced, estimates to replace (by a professional mechanic) range from $2500-$3500. If you can do the head replacement yourself, you'd have an awesome car for the price. Even if you have to pay someone else to replace the head, you'd get a fairly good deal. Or, if you're a BMW enthusiast, this would make one amazing parts car.I'd do the repair and keep the car (did I mention I love this car?), but I don't have the money and no way to store the car, so it's got to go. (btw - when it goes, I'll probably have to hug it goodbye and there will be tears.) Buyer responsible for pickup/shipping.
