You are bidding on a beautiful Chili Red and White Mini Cooper! The same color scheme as the Monte Carlo rally cars!I bought this car new as a birthday present for my wife in 2004, and waited some time for it as I ordered from England with it loaded with every option Mini could put on the car in 2004, except the supercharger. At the time, Mini didn't have an auto box with the S or I would have ordered that as well. She never learned how to drive a five speed, so we were limited somewhat.She received it on her birthday with a big bow on it.She used it sparingly, and the car has not a ding or parking lot rash on it! It was always parked in "no door ding land" in parking lots. The car was never flogged (both of us are over 60), and anything that needed it was replaced/repaired immediately. She loved the car, would never trade it until the transmission incident. It has always had every recommended service carried out but for the 4000 mile oil and filter changes which is more often then the book interval. Mobil 1 synthetic was always used. Any repair work used genuine BMW parts not cheap pattern parts.I think she might have kept the little car forever, but driving out of a grocery store parking lot, the transmission failed at about ten miles per hour.Now she has a brand new car, and I don't have time to repair it, so it needs to go to someone who does and can put it back on the road.The leather has a scuff on the drivers' side bolster ( probably from my fat butt , see photo), it has good rubber and spare. No rust or dings or damage but for the trans. As near pristine as can be found. Southern car, no salt or chemicals.All the fluids, including brake fluid were changed in the spring ( ATE yellow high temp ), recent brake rotors, pads ( street performance pads ), recent battery.All manuals, including a cd complete repair manual, comes with it as well as the bra!Engine starts instantly, ac blows cold, everything except the trans works perfectly.It needs nothing but the transmission repaired or replaced.You could convert it to a six speed or back to an auto box as you wish! This will make someone a premium little car, or a nice car for a wife or SO. Don't miss it! Bring a trailer and take home a super nice Mini to enjoy!On Jul-13-15 at 06:50:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I had forgotten: back in 2010 I backed into a rail which put a 2" by 4" 2-3" deep dent right behind the license plate and slightly above it. Nothing was damaged but the hatch sheet metal. The BMW shop said they could repair it but I insisted on a new OEM hatch. BMW installed the original part, matched perfectly. Just FYI.
