Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1965 Lincoln Up for sale is my beautiful 1965 Lincoln Continental sedan. Perfect example of an original, rust-free California classic that's never left the state. It still has the matching set of black/gold 60’s license plates. Only a few of these suicide door Lincolns were produced each year during the 60’s and they are getting harder and harder to find, especially in solid rust-free shape like this one. I am the third registered owner and it has always been cared for and stored indoors. Absolutely no rust issues anywhere and it has perfect original body panels throughout. As you can see from the pictures it's very straight, doors open and close perfect, and everything lines up just like the day it first rolled off the assembly line. Clean CA title in hand under my name with current tags until Jan 2016. The car has the original 430 engine and 3 speed automatic transmission. I was assured by the previous owner that the mileage is correct and the engine has just over 24k original miles. Unfortunately I don’t have any service records to guarantee this so I will just let the car speak for itself. All I can promise is that it runs excellent and the engine & trans have no mechanical issues. Starts right up even if it’s been sitting for weeks. It has lots of power and picks up fairly quick for such a large car (320hp / 465 lb-ft). The suspension, power steering, and power brakes all work great and the car feels safe at any speed. It has 15” polished wheels and it’s been lowered 2” all around for a better stance. No squeaks or rattles anywhere and the power-train runs very quite like a Lincoln should. The interior was done earlier this year and it included new seat upholstery, headliner, interior carpet, trunk carpet, and custom tire cover. The car was painted in 2006 and still looks great. It appears black at night but in the sunlight it has a metallic dark cherry tint to it. I get compliments about the color shade every time I take her for a spin. There's just a couple minor paint nicks and scratches from average use over the years but nothing very noticeable and as you can see in the pics she still shines beautifully. Car has all original sheet metal and it has never been in an accident. It's never had any rust issues or metal repairs done to it either. Original glass all around in excellent shape as well. All the exterior chrome and stainless trim is original to the car. Known issues; A/C system is functional but does not blow ICE-cold air (needs to be re-charged or upgrade the factory compressor for a modern unit). The original AM radio works but needs new dash speakers hooked up. Five of the six power windows work (left rear passenger window missing switch and needs motor rebuild). Aside from this she’s in very good shape and can definitely be used as a daily driver today. This beauty turns heads and gets thumbs up whenever I drive it. If you don't like being the center of attention when you're out on the road then this car is not for you. It's available for inspection by any bidder during the coarse of this auction so feel free to send me a message with your phone number and I will call you to set up an appointment. As all other classic cars it is being sold in AS IS condition without a warranty. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything prior to bidding. This is a NO RESERVE listing so the car will go to the highest bidder no matter what. View my feedback and bid with confidence. Thanks for viewing and good luck! =)
