Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking at my M5. This is an original California M5 with a clean CARFAX showing 12X,XXX miles and no accidents!! I purchased it out of California and brought it to Indiana a couple years ago. It is garage kept, and has never seen the winter weather. This car is in amazing condition, and none of the typical corrosion found on mid west M5's. I looked at several M5's before I decided to purchase this one because the body, interior, under the hood AND on the underside of the car are so clean, and it runs like a race horse. The ORIGINAL paint is beautiful all over with very little wear (see PICS). The previous owner painted the hood because of typical rock chips. the repaint looks good, but is not factory quality. I tried to show this is the pictures, but you can really only see it if you are close up and in person. It is a good color match, and smooth. The only other body issue is a crack and a small piece missing on the corner of the front bumper, the inside rear view mirror has a dark spot covering 70% of the bottom of the mirror - see pics - it is still usable, I'm just covering all defects... There is no owners manual. The interior is a beautiful BMW CARAMEL INTERIOR!! There are no tears or major damage. The WHEELS are the cleanest M5 wheels of that vintage I have ever seen, nice factory finish, straight, with minor nicks and scratches. They ride like a dream on the NEW NITTO MOTIVO tires all the way around (less than 4K miles), and handle excellent! New battery last year, and the previous owner installed a UUC Evo3 short shifter, UUC lightweight flywheel, new clutch, new brakes, new control arm bushings, and new VANOS SOLENOID Seals (all performed at 118k miles). Oil change 2K miles ago with Castrol full synthetic. HERE IS A WALK AROUND VIDEO TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq-GSC7lZAA FYI, I said 2001 in the video, but this is a 2000.. old age.. OK, I did my best to give every possible issue, an honest description of the condition, and a list of current service that has been performed. I am not aware of any other issues and I would take this car anywhere without concern. I just took a 500 mile round trip and loved every minute of it!!! BUT, I am selling the car in AS-IS condition. This is a great example of a 2000 M5, not perfect, but I can't imagine any BMW M5 shopper being unhappy in any way when they inspect this car. It is VERY FAST, VERY smooth, Has seemingly UNLIMITED TORQUE, VERY COMFORTABLE with Ice Cold AC, power everything, GPS, CD, AM/FM, Cassette, Power Sun Roof, Heated Seats, Cruise Control, Power Sport Seats, and more, - VERY TIGHT 6 Speed Manual Shift Transmission, Some of the BEST BRAKES EVER, and a gas pedal that allows you to kick pretty much everything else's butt if you are so inclined!! I have a copy of the previous California title that shows no miles on the title because California considers any car over 10 years of age exempt on miles, but the previous owner sold me the car with 121XXX actual miles (as shown on the California title paperwork), CARFAX shows my M5 has original miles with no title problems. The Indiana title will show the car is exempt because it came from California with no miles on the title-- so I am selling the car with exempt miles on the title because of ignorant government rules, but actual miles according to the previous owner, actual CARFAX experts that show history reflecting 12XXXX actual miles have been documented on this car. WHEW, I am done with all that. Feel free to send me your number to discuss the car, and look for a video walk around on the car to give any potential buyer a little better "live view" of the M5 running, and close ups of the condition described above. I NEVER respond to email, send me your number and I will call you. I am asking $16,900 OBO or possible trade for 60's or 70's Mopar Muscle ('67 GTX, '71 CUDA, etc...) !!. It would be very difficult to find a better color combination or better running and driving M5!!
