1985 Porsche 944 5sp manual transmission. This is a car that runs and drives but needs tlc. I have gone over this car and have made a list of what I have seen since I owned it and will try to cover everything I can the best I can. I bought this car to be a project as i have had other in the past. Unfortunetly, I will not have the time or space to finish this car the way it should be done. My loss your gain. This car sat for about a year before I bought it. The past owner told me before he let it sit he installed a new timing belt with pulleys. He took it off the road to do that and start restoring the car to its former glory. Since I have owned it, I installed a new fuel pump, dme relay, checked on the timing belt to confirm it looked new and got it cleaned up and running. From what I have seen the car will need tires, they are dry rotted, power windows work when they want, fuel gauge doesn't work, always reads full. All other gauges seem to work fine. The transmission is a little had to engage 2nd, needs adjustment, all other gears feel great. Seems to run rich, stumbles a little coming off of idle. I would recommend changing the fluids although coolant and brake fluid look good. Brakes look newer but have rust on the surfaces. The leather seats do not have a tears in then. The carpet looks to have been replaced somewhere along the years. The passenger rear carpet does have what looks to be an old water stain on it. I haven't seen or felt any water I the car so assuming old owner fixed leak. The outside of the car needs work. I took pictures of the worst of the problems. It will need an exhaust, I think I hear a leak under there somewhere. That should cover the basic of the car. I would suggest giving it a good once over before driving this car on the roads but I don't think it will need much to get it on the road.
