Selling My 1992 Jeep YJ Wrangler. This Jeep is built right with no corners cut. It has been adult owned, and never wheeled hard. Its spent more time in the Dairy Queen drivethru with my kids in the back than on the trail. The build was completed last year, and I have put 600 miles on it since. It drives down the highway straight, with no wobbles, wander, vibrations, etc. You can drive it anywhere. Ill start with a list of everything. No reserve on this Jeep Bid to own it. Engine- 4.0 HO engine, with 91k original miles. Runs great, uses no oil, runs cool.40 psi oil pressure at hot idle. Runs quite no tick or rattles. Bone stock other than MSD plug wires and distributor Cap. TJ front exhaust pipe, to increase ground clearance. Transmission- Ford NP 435 Granny Low 4 speed, with 6.32:1 low gear. Fully rebuilt with all new bearings and seals throughout. Novak adapters main shaft, and adapter to factory 231 transfer case. 600 miles on build. New HD Luk clutch and flywheel. Transfer Case- Original NP231 with 91k miles. Slip Yoke Eliminator, new bearings and seals, heavy duty chain. 600 miles on build. Driveline- Tattons custom rear CV type driveshaft with heavy duty spicer U joints. Front driveshaft is a CV type shaft from TJ wrangler, fully rebuilt, cut to length, balanced, and brand new spicer HD u joints. Rear Axle- Ford 8.8 31 spline from Explorer. Disk brakes, with new pads. Factory Track Lock posi, rebuilt with new clutches, and fresh fluid. Riddler Mfg nodular iron diff cover. Weak ford plug welds reinforced with high nickel fill welds around axle tubes.4.10 Gearing- Rear looks and rides like it came from factory. Posi unit is excellent traction aid. Front Axle- Dana 30 with 4.10 Gears, and a Lokka brand Locker. Warn Diff Guard. TJ 1 piece axle shafts, with larger HD spicer ujoints. , aluminum greaseable tube seals Suspension- Trail Master 4" Springs, and Shocks. 1.5" HD shackles. Rides very soft and has good flex. Other Drivetrain Upgrades- Thrush Muffler, M.O.R.E Steering box brace, sway bar quick disconnects, JKS telescoping track bar. Warn 8274 Winch that works great. Warn Front bumper, Warn HD rocker guards. High Lift Jack/mount on hood. 33x12.50-15 Hankook Mud Tires with 95% tread. Mounted on American Racing Outlaw wheels. Comes with 3 TOPS. Hard Top with Full Hard Doors, matching black, with keys. Almost mint condition, all latches on doors work, rear wiper and defroster on top work. 1/2 Hard Doors with black soft top. Soft top is complete with all hardware upper doors, etc. It has only been on the Jeep once! It is like new Smittybuilt Bikini top. The Jeep Has Bestop Black seat covers, The seats under the covers are not ripped. Has high end sony stereo with Mp3 hookup. Infinity speakers in soundbar. Cobra CB radio. Fire extinguisher in neoprene holder, smittybilt grab handles. Rare original factory Hood bra.Also bestop insta trunk that locks. Body/ Frame- The body is great for a 1992 northeast jeep. Its never been repaired anywhere other than driver floor, and its pictured.No bondo never rpainted, and is rock solid everywhere else. Frame is rock solid front to back, with the exception of very small well done weld far rear of rear shackles and that is pictured as well. Everything works on this jeep except the horn. All gauges work, the interior lights turn on when you open the door, the buzzer sounds when key is in ignition, etc. None of the factory wiring has been cut or butchered, including the stereo plug! This is a well built jeep, not some rusted repaired hacked up beat up kids toy!! You could daily drive it if you want, although 65 MPH is about the top with the trans/gearing. You can wheel it the day you buy it and have no issues. Its nice enough and clean enough you and wear nice clothes and take it to a nice restaurant for dinner too. PA inspected until 11/2015, and should have no issue passing again. Known issues- Small wetness around transfer case, doesnt drip, and havent had to add any fluid- maybe just tighten up case bolts? Horn doesnt work. 4wd light doesnt light up on dash due to TJ 1 piece shafts and eliminating CAD. Small exhaust leak at manifold (cracked) Not loud.. New Manifold included in sale. Small dry cracking starting on tires due to lack of use. No leaks and no safety issues in my opinion. Paint has its blemishes and chips, but cleans up decent, Its a well built trail or street jeep, not a show jeep. Typical 4.0 valve cover leak. Clutch slave needs some final adjustment- clutch grabs about 1" off of the floor. Any questions just email. Jeep is located in Kingston PA 18704. Also keep those dates in mind for pickup. I would like the jeep gone before I leave if possible. This is a great jeep and Im going to miss it, but i dont drive it and my daughter wants a horse, so Im letting it go. I have a 3 ring binder with a list of everything done to this, and many reciepts. I never added up, because im scared, but i am sure over $10,000 is in this thing! High lift jack on hood I am keeping, Ill replace it with a brand new Harbor Freight one. It has sentimental value to me, my dad bought it when I was 16, and its been on every jeep I have owned. Winch can be a negotiating point as well. But with the buy it now its for sure included. This is for sale locally , and I plan on taking it to several local Jeep / 4wd shows in the coming weeks, so I think it will go quick. If you want it buy it now, or make a reasonable offer!!
