Vehicle Detail

UPDATE to LOCATION: OMAHA, NEBRASKA I have moved to Washington State but the car remains in Omaha, Nebraska. I have family in the area to assist in showing the car and I will fly back to finish the sale if needed. Pick up or shipping would need to be from that location. Sorry for the confusion to those already watching this. 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS project car for sale. Mileage is unknown as original gauge cluster was removed and there are a few with the car. This is a true 138 V8 Chevelle Malibu SS but it has a 1969 396 motor in it with a Powerglide transmission. The motor looks as though it had been refreshed and can see there are new head gaskets but I don't know for sure what was done. Does turn so not stuck. Bank got it in a bankruptcy repo of the house it was in. It was purchased by a pawn shop and then auctioned off on eBay. That is how I got it. They did not have a title so only a bill of sale will be provided. Original bucket seat and console floor shift car with factory tilt wheel, rear speaker and rear antenna, and all glass tinted options. From what I can tell it has somewhat rare original color combo of Artesian Turquoise paint and Ivory Pattern Imitation Leather (turquoise trim) interior. There is a disc brake conversion set with it. 12 bolt rear end. I only have front half of the console. Also have the front clip, including hood, fenders, radiator saddle and so on. Have a rear bumper and missing the front bumper and front inner fender wells. All available new from Year One or other suppliers. The floors and rockers seem decent but trunk is need of a complete pan replacement. Someone began some bad body work and will need to be redone. Patch panels only needed and not complete quarters or fenders. All body metal is useable. All glass is good and no rot around front or back windows. Very restorable car. It appears the block may be a 1969-1970 396/402 with the casting number of 3969854 and pad stamp of T1204TBH. Might have been a truck block. Heads have a casting number of 3872702 which makes them 1965 or 1966 396 427 Big Block Chevy Heads. Has the casting of PASS on them too for passenger. A lot of questions on title and what the car is worth. You can get a title. I had to make a selection on here so I just selected salvage but you can definitely get a title. Nebraska has a bonded title process that takes a couple of months. I have done it before. There are online services like Broadway Title Service too. Couple hundred bucks and you have one. When I was to start the rebuild I was going to do that but never got to it. Now moving. When done worth tens of thousands. Search online for classic car value at sites like nadaguides.com. Look for Chevrolet Chevelle or Malibu Super Sport 2 door coupe or hardtop. It has been confirmed by the pawn shop I bought this from, they do run all vehicles through the police department and NCIC shows this car as clean. I also ran it on the national insurance database to check if it ever been reported stolen or salvaged. It came up as never being reported for either. I have added an image of that report. You can run the VIN yourself at https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck VIN Decoded: Year: 1965 Series: (38) Malibu, SS V8 engine Body Style: (37) 2-door sport coupe (35/36/37/38 series only) Plant: (K) Kansas City, Missouri Chevelle #: 13512 for Kansas City, Missouri Highest bid of $3550 and up. Please have funds available if you plan on bidding. Ask all questions and if you have zero or negative feedback please email prior to bidding for approval or I may cancel your bid. Only reason I am selling is because we are moving and can't take along. Sorry, I cannot accept any trades either. Thanks for looking.
