Vehicle Detail

Up for a NO RESERVE Auction is my 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid with 5 speed manual transmission. This vehicle will sell to the HIGHEST BIDDER. EPA rated 38 mpg City, 45 mpg Highway 1.3 liter 4 cylinder gas engine Electric motor assist 5 speed manual transmission 230,285 miles Well maintained Cold A/C CD player Cruise Control Automatic Climate Control Power Mirrors California car pool lane approved Uses/burns no oil between oil changes Acura RSX rear sway bar for improved handling Recent services: -Valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket at 212,000 -Transmission oil change at 215,000 -Four new Cooper CS4 tires installed at 213,000, still look brand new with lots of tread left -New upgraded urethane front control arm bushings and ball joints installed at 214,000 -New PCV valve installed at 225,000 -New air filter and cabin filter installed at 212,000 This car is in great shape for its age and mileage, but does have its share of scratches and dings. Please look closely at the pictures as they are all shown. Car starts, runs, and drives great. I was told my the prior owner that the hybrid battery was replaced in 2013, but cannot verify this. Smog test was passed in December of 2014. There is a slight whining noise heard in first and second gear. I believe that this may be the transmission input bearing, which is a relatively common issue with the Civic Hybrids. The cost for the replacement bearing is very low, but the transmission needs to be removed in order to replace it. Again, I have not had the noise professionally diagnosed as the transmission bearing, so it could be something else. The car still drives and shifts great. The car sometimes does not give full hybrid battery assist, or fully charge during deceleration. This is also common with the civic hybrid, and is caused by the hybrid battery aging process. This does not effect the ability to drive the car, and there are currently no check engine lights or IMA lights on the dash. Car last passed SMOG emissions inspection in December of 2014. Overall this has been a safe and reliable vehicle, but I now have too many cars and this one needs to go. It has some issues as does any car of it's age, but overall still has a lot of life left in it. This is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and would not be afraid to drive it anywhere.
