Vehicle Detail
So here I have for sale is my 1956 Volkswagen Beetle Added because of my up coming trip (would like to use the sale for my trip), since I will be gone for quite awhile. Anyways back to the bug. First of all I have the engine code reading down, since I read my other 1965 VW beetle wrong, finding out it was the original motor. Anyways, unfortunately this motor is not the original beetle motor and is a 1600cc motor out of a 1971 VW Beetle (Type 1). Motor is in great and healthy condition. Starts right up on first click, and can be sitting for quite awhile and still start right up on first click no gas. 9/10 Transmission is very solid, no grinds and no pop outs. Freeway speeds are achievable, there aren't any vibrations and steering is tight. 9.5/10 Selectable front end. One click down up front. I purchased this beetle from up Northern California (stockton/bay area) where I was informed it has been all its life. Kept dry and safe, where there isn't any signs of major accidents or rust. Pan is very clean, and seem to be the original pan halves. I give the Exterior a 8.1/10. The paint shines very nicely and body is straight but I give it this rating because the paint job shows some lack of detail. Which is very hard to show on camera, and could not capture it, but looks like spots where the paint is lay'd down lightly. (Only places in rear near tail light) The rubber in the rear window looks to be slightly painted over.(just an edge). The paint job is about 7 years old. But still looks brand new. (good quality paint) And it was done by the original owner as a grandfather and grandson little restoration project. (not my grandfather) The Interior I give a 8.8/10.. I give this rating because of the same reasons as the exterior. There are some thin/lightly lay'd over paint and there is small drip on dash. Nothing big in my opinion. The carpet, seats, panels, and headliner are in pretty great shape.. Doors all shut and open solid. Windows roll up and down very smoothly, no struggle or noise.
