Please read full description!!! Hello,this listing is for a 1978 Ford Fairmont 4-door sedan with 19,833 original and actual miles on it. This is a 1-owner car still on the original Illinois title from 1978. The woman who owned the car parked in the winter of 1985 due to health issues,and there it sat in her garage until I bought it from her estate earlier this year. The last oil change sticker is still in the car from 11/85 showing the ,mileage and the 1985 Highland Park,IL city sticker looks as good as the day it was new. I cleaned it up,went through the fuel system,and put a new battery and tires on it. The car runs and drives great. I really do love the car,but my wife says that I have too many!! There is a reserve on it for what I feel it is worth to me,if it does not meet the reserve then it stays with me. Included is one picture that shows how I found it. It is white with a blue vinyl top and blue interior. The body has no rust holes on it,or underneath it. The paint shines well,as expected from being in a garage for 30-years. There are a couple minor dings,and a few very small chips in the paint that were touched up. They had something sitting on the roof and it discolored a small portion of the vinyl. All of the trim looks great overall. The interior is very clean overall,I have never seen a nicer dash pad. No rips or tears,the seat padding is nice and high,nothing worn out. It looks and feels like 19k miles inside. I went through the fuel system before I attempted to start the car. The fuel tank and sending unit were both replaced,the line was cleaned out,the carburetor rebuilt,and the fuel pump replaced. A new battery was installed,along with fresh gas and she fired right up. The exhaust is still quiet,although the tail pipe is rusted out. I opted to leave it be as it is the original. I did have to replace all four tires which are brand new,but it still has the original spare in the trunk. This car has a few options on it,such as power steering,power brakes,air conditioning,rear window defroster,am/fm radio,and a few other things. The air conditioning still has R12 in it and it is ICE COLD,I had it down to 36-degrees! The only thing that doesn`t seem to be working is the radio,it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn`t. I really do not want to let this car go,but if the reserve is met,then away it goes. This car deserves a good home. You are welcome to see it in person. It is located in Burbank,IL 60459.
