One of the most popular cars in automotive history, this 1968 Mustang was built at Ford's San Jose, Ca. plant on March 7th, 1968 and was ordered with the very desirable 289 V8 engine, C4 automatic transmission, power steering and factory AC! This 1968 Mustang retains all of its original sheet metal. The quarter panels, doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid have not been modified nor is there any evidence of accident damage. This Mustang has remained in California and is very solid where it counts. The rocker panels, floor supports, torque boxes, trunk drop offs, firewall, cowl panel, wheel houses and quarter panels are all solid and rust free. The only evidence of rust found during inspection is near the lower front of doors where the paint has begun to lift and about a 6" wide x 1" high area above the rear window under the vinyl top and at both bottom corners of the rear window, common problem areas on 47 year old Mustangs. This 1968 Mustang is a great driving, easy starting muscle car that you can just enjoy as a daily driver in its current condition or one that you can restore to as new condition as it is an excellent candidate for that as well. This 1968 Mustang is in all stock, original condition with the exception of one repaint of it's original color, Tahoe Turquoise Metallic. The original interior is in good shape with the exception of the drivers seat cover which will require replacement. The heat and AC controls function properly and the whole system is intact with the exception of the compressor belt. The horn, wipers, gauges, lights and signals all function as intended and the car shifts strong. The brakes and steering perform well. This 1968 Mustang is really enjoyable to drive and gets smiles and thumbs up whenever driven. This 1968 Mustang will ship with a clean California title, bill of sale and 2 sets of keys. It is currently registered with the D.M.V so there are no back fees due or other issues for the new buyer to deal with.
