Up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION is a VERY SOLID AND STRAIGHT 1974 DODGE DART SWINGER. This car was sold new at FRONTIER DODGE IN LEVELLAND TEXAS AND HAS SPENT IT'S ENTIRE LIFE IN DRY CENTRAL TEXAS. I found this car in San Angelo Tx. sitting in someones yard and stopped and made the owner an offer he couldn't refuse and trailered the car back to my home in Boerne Tx. The car is VERY COMPLETE AND SOLID EXCEPT FOR THE FLOOR AND TRUNK PANS AND HAS A CLEAR TEXAS TITLE. I bought the car to build a race car out of it, but I came across a Plymouth Cuda that would be easier for me to install a Hemi into. There is no rust through on the body panels whatsoever but the floor and trunk pans do need to be addressed. The gas tank is presently out of the car because I was going to install a fuel cell in the trunk for racing but the gas tank, filler neck, and straps come with the car but the tank needs to be cleaned and it needs a new sending unit. The tires on the car are good but I do not have a spare, jack, or any tools to sell the car with. The tires are mounted but not balanced on the original 14" steel rims that came on the car from the factory. The cool thing about this car is that it is a FACTORY V8 CAR WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND AIR CONDITIONER WHICH IS HIGHLY OPTIONED FOR A DART. The car has a front bench seat that retains it's factory vinyl covering that matches the factory door panels and sail panels which are still in the car and in good shape. The car also comes with the rear bottom seat cushion they also retains it's factory covering matching everything in the car. I did not post pictures of the front seat of the bottom cushion of the back seat because they were in my warehouse at the time these pictures were taken today, but I assure you they are both in usable shape and will be sold with the car. When I found the car in San Angelo it was missing both side windows and still had the factory green carpet throughout the car so when it rained the carpet held water and caused the floor pans to rust. Also when I found the car there was a pile of old news papers in the trunk of the car which held water and caused the trunk pan to rust, the rest of the car is very solid and straight. My Sons took the seats out and stripped out the carpet to replace the floor pans, but when I found the Cuda we decided to build that car instead. This car is very light and would make a fantastic drag racing car (what I was going to use it for) or it could be made into a great road racing car as well. Since the car is so complete the car could be returned to stock condition very easily. All the rust you see on the body is surface rust only and it is not very pitted at all. The car runs pretty good with an outside gas source and the transmission goes into all the gears with no problems. The last time the car was driven on the road was 1990 which is reflected by the Texas license plates from that year that are still on the car. The odometer has 66,547 miles on it but I do not know if this is the true mileage, but by the looks of the brake pedal pad the mileage could be original because the brake pedal pad has very little wear on it. Again , ALL THE FACTORY EQUIPMENT IS STILL WITH THE CAR INCLUDING THE COMPLETE A/C SYSTEM. The factory headliner is intact and in good shape as well as the factory sun visors. The windshield has some cracks but it is still usable. The driver side door will not open from the outside but will open easily using the inside door opening handle. There is one set of keys that operate the doors, trunk, and ignition and they appear to be the original keys to the car. The car needs to be gone through completely and sorted out properly but it is a very good starting point considering how complete and solid the car is. THIS CAR IS GOING TO BE SOLD ON A NO RESERVE AUCTION SO IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. Please check out my feedback and my other auctions, bid with confidence and bid to win this SWEET LITTLE 1974 DODGE DART WITH A FACTORY V8 MOTOR, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND AIR CONDITIONING and as always HAPPY MOTORING. 0% FEEDBACK BIDDERS MUST CONTACT ME OR YOUR BIDS WILL BE DELETED!!!
