This short-bed 59 Apache is a great start to a project. Yes, it does have rust spots in the front fenders, but I believe they're patchable. Both back cab corners will need to be replaced. I think the running boards are patchable, but maybe replacing them would be your best bet. I have crawled under it and found NO rust in the frame or floor of the cab. Its radiator is missing, as are other parts that have wandered off over the last 30 years of sitting around. Its bed floor is bad (both wood and metal) and its tail gate is probably beyond repair. I will gladly answer any questions you might have or take more pictures and provide them if it helps you make up your mind. It has a clear Utah title in my name. I have heard that it is difficult to get a shipper in here and expensive as well. It is a "roller" but does not have functioning brakes, although its transmission shifts in and out of gear and can be used for braking purposes. Competent shippers and I have no problems getting them loaded up -- but I've had a couple doozies show up here in the past that have tried my patience.... This is a No-reserve auction since I really need to get it sold. One bid might be all it takes for you to buy this fun project. I need a $200 Pay-pal deposit within 48 hours of auction close, and we can then agree on how the balance is to be paid. Obviously funds will have to have cleared before the truck leaves. I haven’t had much luck on eBay lately and have relied heavily on selling through Craigslist. Therefore, it made sense to leave this listed on Craigslist even while listing it on eBay, since I didn’t know if it would even sell on eBay. But here’s the problem: I’ve had people contact me (through eBay) telling me that they want to buy the truck (essentially through Craigslist.) That seemed logical at first, as I contemplated what offer I was willing to accept, but then it occurred to me that I have no way of knowing what amount my current high bidder is willing to pay. It doesn’t seem honest for me to sell it out from underneath him if his amount of $1625 is determined only by what others have bid him up to. I’m not trying to run up the price or play games, I’m only trying to be fair, so this is what I’m doing. I have gone in and pulled the truck off of Craigslist. This auction will run its course and I will accept the high bid, even if it remains at $1625.
