1976 Jeep CJ7 first year, in nice condition. 79k orig miles Drives good. Use as is, or drive and restore. Power steering, automatic TH400. First year Quadratrac, so is essentially AWD, but has a lockable center differential and a low range. 4.10 gearsFiberglass Tub, Fenders, and HoodTailgate, Grille, and Doors are steel. Doors are in poor condition. Grille has a couple bubbles but gives it character. Whole thing appears to be painted with 2 part Epoxy paint (same as appliances or sinks/tubs). Strong, easy to touch up.Custom tube bumper on rear with built in hitch receiver Engine is a rebuilt 360. Not sure the miles. I pulled it to fix trans leak and detail it. It was spotless inside. Regasketed and painted with correct AMC blue with Epoxy engine paint. Changed distributor gear and upgraded to dura spark distributor with MSD ignition. Added a edelbrock performer intake with a Holley 770 street avenger 4 bbl. Aluminum high flow water pump. Valve covers, brackets, and pullies powder coated black. New hoses, thermostat, belts, pcv, plugs, etc. Replaced RH exhaust manifold, LH looks to have been replaced maybe when engine was. Had it blasted and coated both manifolds with manifold dressing. Added electric cooling fan with thermostat control. Upgraded to 100 amp chrome GM 1 wire alternator.Replaced the front pump seals on the transmission (the main reason for me pulling motor) and added an ATP shift improver kit. The TH400 transmission was clean inside as well. Did the filter and added adjustable vacuum modulator. The brakes look to be all new with all the lines replaced. The shocks all look newer as well. Has a shackle lift, and has plenty of clearance for the new 31x10.5" tires. Gas tank and rear skid plate are new. Has chrome diff cover on rearend.Hardtop is in really good shape and has tinted windowsTail lights are new, exhaust is newer in good shape.Interior is in good shape. Driver seat doesn't match passenger or rear. Seat belts are a little worn. Has detachable face cd radio. Resealed front differential cover and fresh gear oil Resealed rear differential cover and fresh gear oil Replaced rear driveshaft u joints, one had a little play, did both. Things that I know are wrong with: The transfer case has a little drip, nothing major I replaced the E drive vacuum switch with a re-engineered dash switch ($60). Since I did this the E drive indicator light doesn't come on, it did before. I also replaced the vacuum valve actuator on the transfer case ($70) as the original one someone sealed with silicone. The bulb works and if I ground light comes on so I think the switch on the case that activates the light may be bad. I made a panel that installed in original dash slot for radio that holds the new e drive switch and a power port but haven't wired power port yet. Since running MSD box, had to install a tach adapter to run stock tach. Worked for a day and slowly got inaccurate and since has stopped working. Not sure if tach is bad now or adapter. Steering column is a little clunky when turning. Have a Omix-Ada rebuild kit for it, not installed. The frame is pretty solid. The rear has been replaced, front is solid, section where rear leafs attach has some patchwork. Has one small hole but nothing to be concerned about any time soon.The driver front fender flare is new, and the bumper looked like it was pushed back and someone straightened it. Think someone had an oops with it at some point.Overall Fun Jeep that could be used however you like.I reserve the right to cancel bids or to end listing early. Vehicle is for sale locally as well.
