YouTube video of car can be seen by looking up: Chudog62 Chevelle Rev 1 - Video was done on 5.20.15 This is a very nicely done SS396 tribute with a fresh 396 engine matted with a turbo 350 automatic tranny and 12 bolt rear end. This is a turnkey Chevelle, great driver and very reliable. * Just had complete inspection done before sale that includes ($3,185 receipt and warranties is included) : Oil change / filter, all belts and hoses checked and or replaced, replaced all 4 shocks front and rear, complete camshaft & lifter kit, replaced intake manifold gasket, Timing cover gasket, PCV and breather system, Tranny filter and gasket, valve cover gaskets oil pan gasket, all hoses and fittings, new coolant flush, re-wired, choke on carb, replaced carb spacer - all done within 400 miles ago - also installed a Optima CCA800 battery in April 2015 - Chevelle is ready to enjoy by the new owner Clean CA title in hand, current CA reg - Odometer reads 94500 however there is about 2000 mi. on car since restoration so mileage is not correct and CA title states this and its clean. HOW IS THE ENGINE? its a great one, it has no rattles or knocks just typical flat tappet 396 engine sounds. The casting numbers confirm its a 396. The radiator has been replaced recently, the anti freeze is fresh and good. Car cools just fine 185 to 205 at most. I did recently replace the cam with a stock 396 cam with proper groove, installed a complete lifter kit with new tappets etc. Runs great HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a Turbo 350 automatic that shifts good. Has a shift kit and will chirp the tires in secondHOW IS THE REAR-END? Its a 12 bolt with good highway gears, I hear no whines or growls. Revs 2400 Rpm at 65 Mph HOW IS THE STEERING? Drives extremely straight - has power steering...push the brakes and take hands off wheel she stays straight as an arrow. The car handles really well. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Front disc rear drums - stops great work perfectly no leaks HOW IS THE PAINT? The marina blue metallic paint is very nice quality. No dents, tons of depth in clear coat, some very minor touched up chips and a small imperfection here and there, small dimple in center of hood smaller than the size of pen point, bottom line looks much better in person.. it has a very good deep shine. The car was block sanded good, I consider it straight to look down the sides. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? New seat covers front and rear they look new, new door panels, new kick panels with built in speakers from Vintage car stereo Inc., dash pad is like new , headliner just about perfect , sun visors great, carpet new throughout, original seat belts look great just a bit faded but not an eye sore at all. HOW IS THE UNDERSIDE? It has old dealership under coating, and was painted black during restoration, the floors are original no rust at all on the frame or pans, the frame is solid. The trunk pans are solid no bondo no rust, This was also gone through on the inspection mentioned above and past with no issues. WHEELS AND TIRES: Goodyear tires at 85% front and rear - wheels are chrome rally wheels with proper centers 15x7 front and 15x8 rear DO THE LIGHTS WORK? Head lights work, Bright's work with foot switch, tail lights work, brake lights work, turn signals work, interior light works, dash lights work, wipers work. DO THE GAUGES WORK? Speedo works fine, gas gauge works fine, Tach is SunPro - Oil pressure, temp and volts in chrome cluster work perfectly and are new, They are in a pod under the dash new cluster as well as new tach on steering column. WIPERS WORK... GAS GAUGE WORK... SPEEDOMETER WORKS.. HORN IS NOT WORKING, THIS CHEVELLE SS IS NOT PERFECT BUT SHE LOOKS GREAT, DRIVES GREAT AND IS READY FOR A NEW OWNER TO ENJOY.
