Porsche951 Store Hi. Here's your chance to own a rare piece of PORSCHE history. 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. Pearl White. One of 26 known to exist. 40 of these cars were commissioned by Porsche for the Turbo Cup. All these cars were joint venture between Porsche Audi. And thus we're painted the L0A9 Pearl White (Audi only color). When these cars were finished..... Porsche ended up going with the later 87 models instead. So these cars are extremely rare in this color because you couldn't get the car in this color thru Porsche directly. Whether via special order or knowing Mr. Porsche himself. It's rumored that some of these rare colored cars are in private Porsche Engineer's collections. Must see this car in person. Pictures do not do this car justice. 2 owner car. Originally purchased in Nashville TN by a Vanderbilt University professor. Car is all original as from the factory. One year only deep lip rear factory phone dials with color keyed center crests. Car has recently (at 87k) received a new clutch. Clutch cylinder. Water pump. Timing belt. The life's blood of these cars. Plus a new Bosch fuel pump. Non cracked dash. All books and manuals. Factory front bra and mirror covers. Storage bag for removable top. Lots of love has always surrounded the entire life of this car. Car has been independently appraised through my Farm Bureau Insurance company for $16500. These cars have been steadily on the rise in the past few years. But they have significant side wall rot. I wouldn't suggest driving this car long distance. The drivers side rear tire is mis-matched because the side wall gave out on the matched tire. When I bought this car the previous owner did not disclose to me that there was a lock nut on each rim for security purposes. He had misplaced the lock nut for these. I had the lock lug cut off. You can buy a lock socket from Porsche to remove these. Costs around $150. Turbo is very strong with no bearing play. I run 95 octane in this car. Average 27mpg. This is my 5th 951 that I've owned. And by far the nicest. I've owned this car for 3 years now. Have a clean clear open TN title. I bought this car from a private collection of a gentleman who owns 14 Porsches. He was best friends with the original owners son. I'm a true Porsche enthusiasts and have collected Porsche memorabilia for 31 years. I have a Mini Museum of Porsche related items. Over 10,000 items. My oldest daughters middle name is Carrera. So I'm not a novice or just someone who doesn't take the proper care for these cars. So please only serious bidders. This car is being sold as is where is.
