Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1985 Honda CR250R. I picked this bike up a year ago as a restoration project to keep me occupied in my free time. Truth is; I haven't the time to start this project, or even to tear-down the bike and part-it-out; which will absolutely bring-in more than the five hundred I'm asking. All you need is a little time to locate parts, and a bit of spending cash in order to bring this beauty back to her former glory. This project is worth the time and effort it takes to preserve a piece of moto-cross history, and it will make the right buyer a happy person. Reserve plus shipping fees is what it takes to own this magnificent piece of moto-cross history. Buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping/delivery. Five hundred dollars due within 24hrs of sale closing. PayPal, personal check (once cleared), bank check, or cash are acceptable forms of payment. Bike comes with either a box-stand, or a swingarm triangle-stand; whichever you prefer. On May-15-15 at 08:25:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Up for sale is my 1985 Honda CR250R. I personally have not tried to kick this beast over, so I don't know if it runs or not. Either way; five hundred bucks is a fair price for this bike. The guy I bought it from is a family friend. He had it running before I took it off his hands last fall. At the time I bought it, I didn't really care if it ran. I went into the purchase knowing that it's an old, crusty, used bike that needs a frame-off restoration - and that's what I intended to do. I've restored many 80's "thumper's" in the past. This job is no different - it's gonna take time and money to bring her back to her original state. I just don't have the time to undertake another project right now. I bought this thing, threw it in the back of my truck, drove it home, and threw it in my garage - where it's been sitting for the past eight months until this past Saturday, when I rolled it out to give it a bath & snap a few pictures in order to list it on ebay.
