Vehicle Detail

Up for sale today is a Beautiful example of a Triumph TR3 British sports car. This car was completely frame off restored in 2007. Has been driven over 30,000 miles since then with trips to Alabama, California, Black Hills, Yellowstone, Glacier National park, plus all over the state of Wisconsin and near by neighbors, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois. It is a driver not a perfect trailer queen. From all her travels she has small chips in paint, nicks in upholstery, but one of the strongest mechanically running cars out there. You will not be disappointed in reliability and still a very presentable example. Pictures do not due her justice! She is not without trophy`s.When restored everything was updated or rebuilt or rechromed, or replaced with new as needed. Here is the list of her attributes:Body and frame down to bare metal, painted in off white, crème color, frame black. Parts were resprayed by body shop after loosing a wheel second year after restoration. Picture of left tail light and boot show bad body fit by body shop. Boot gasket is wearing also, most all paint chips have been touched up, very minor. After viewing my pictures saw the holes in cross brace under the boot, did not know they were there. They were not there after restoration, find it hard to believe they rusted threw. I don`t know for a fact but I think they happened from our accident and were not repaired. Lesson learned, check your car well before signing off on a repair job. Total restoration done by us previous to body shop mess was to high standards, husband a perfectionist and well known for his cars. TR3 engine with TR4 valve cover was totally rebuilt up to high standards. New standard pistons and liners. Electronic ignition, no points. Compression 120 psi.Carbs rebuilt with new rods, like new condition.New wire wheel adapters with 4 new wheels, all new lug nuts. Spare has original wire wheel.Transmission was rebuilt and works smooth, has that wonderful overdrive for easy smooth cruising.Aluminum radiator with electronic fanNew clutch 2007Gear reduction starterFront has disc. brakes, rebuilt original drum brakes goes with the car.Interior floor lined with Duramat for more quiet ride along with reduction in heat.Interior is Cinnamon Wilton wool carpet, Cinnamon vinyl, with cinnamon piping seat kit, panel kit. Everflex vinyl, top, tonneau & boot cover, boot board covered in Cinnamon, boot carpet bound. All were from Heritage Upholstery out of Canada, $2,9000.00 worth of great stuff.Side curtains are an aftermarket brand that came with the car when we bought it. Stainless steal boot rack, sun visors, they really do help, and wind wings are includes but not installed, Triumph floor matts.New wiring harness from British Wiring with headlight pigtails and overdrive harness, with all connections greased.Has Badge bar with Running light and Fog light with yellow bulb.Under dash has a 2 port plug-in for charging phones or GPS, is not visible from standing position.Instruments are all in working order, gas gauge reads opposite of what is real. I viewed this as a security system , thief thinks it`s full but is on fumes, won`t go very far.Mileage is not accurate, have tried 3 different speedometers, 2 kinda worked last one is spot on.Brake handle, bumper, grab handle, overriders, front bumper, rechromed originals. 2014 Updates: New Rotors, New brake pads, New hoses, Rebuilt Calipers, Tie rod ends replaced, Delrin Center tie rods have Bush and Pin Kit, New Generator, 2 new tires, fronts have 60% tread.New Clutch slave cylinder, New Heater core.New batteryThis car, one word, RELIABLE, tried and true driver. It still will need constant general maintenance, it is a British car, it likes attention! We would not have driven it out to the National Parks out west last year if we didn`t trust it. It never missed a beat, was wonderful! Reason for selling, have another TR3 to break-in and enjoy. Have tried to relay everything to my knowledge about the car, QUESTIONS?This car is sold as is, no warranty, may end auction early due to being locally advertised for sale.Good Luck on your bidding, thanks for looking. Any questions are welcome, can be viewed by appointment anytime. On May-11-15 at 03:00:22 PDT, seller added the following information: After rereading my listing, that would be an electric fan, has switch for turning on and off under dash. Also a new solenoid was installed on the overdrive last year. Car also has a cigarette lighter, we put it in for the charging of phones etc. at time of restoration. We put the 2 port plug-in on the car a couple of years ago after the restoration to accommodate the GPS. Floor pans and rockers were solid, no replacements needed, was a very surprising, rust free car. Engine, do not know if it is original to the car. Never checked, was not important to us. All I know for sure is that it has been a strong, no troubles engine. On May-11-15 at 07:39:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I should have headed this listing, " White Buffalo For Sale" , my friend Albert from Roadster Factory put us on May`s newsletter with a picture from our trip out West last July. Like I said, this car is awesome. Nothing like seeing the mountains and prairies, and our great country in a TR3.On May-12-15 at 06:02:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Well, could have told you this would happen, like I said my husband is a perfectionist. After discovering those holes in the cross brace under the boot , they drove him crazy. He has since welded them up and repainted it and the holes are no longer there. That is just the way it has been with this car and every car we have owned. Meticulous to a fault with maintenance and making sure everything is done right. On May-13-15 at 12:09:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a correction, I stated my husband welded the holes up on the cross bar under the boot. He did weld them, but not all of them. Sorry, I`m in hot water with him now! TMI, too much information! On May-16-15 at 17:02:53 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE, we welcome any questions about this Great car. Do not hesitate to make a phone call. No wonders about this, and that and in the end, wish you would have bid. Time is running out. We want a happy buyer with no doubts. Call us, 608-784-8916, Pat and Bob
