Classic 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII 52,050 Miles No Reserve What it Is: This is my mother’s personal Lincoln Mark VIII. It has extremely low mileage and is ready to drive anywhere. I am listing this vehicle for my mom who is 79 years young! What’s the Story? : Mom always wanted one of these Lincoln Mark VIIIs…in fact, this was her dream car. My dad (83 years old) was looking on-line, last year and found a low mileage Mark VIII in California, which he purchased. It was being sold by an estate where the owner had passed away. Dad convinced me to fly out to Ontario, California…..and drive the car back to Colorado where my mom and dad live. I did, and the car drove flawlessly. Not a single glitch or problem. Mom was thrilled with the car. A few weeks later, after mom mother got her “dream Mark VIII”, she took a tumble in the home and injured her shoulder. The bottom-line is that she can’t turn a steering wheel on any car now. Her driving days are over, unfortunately. Dad now does all the driving in his Lincoln sedan. Condition: Overall, the condition is excellent for its age. The mileage is only 52,050 and it shows. There are a few blemishes on the original paint and trim which I have shown in pictures. Mechanically, the car is terrific. The air-ride suspension works flawlessly. The car sits low when parked, then comes up when the car is started. At highway speeds, I believe is lowers a bit for better gas mileage. The leather interior is outstanding with very little wear marks even on the driver’s seat. Obviously, the car has been well-maintained. The electronics, A/C, power seats and windows all work as they should. I know of nothing that needs to be repaired. Perhaps you’ll want to replace the sound insulation under the hood. As I said, I drove it from Ontario, CA to Canon City, CO without a single hiccup. The engine is the InTech DOHC V-8 engine. I am not sure of the horsepower…..but I can tell you it runs like a jack rabbit. It is a very fast car. A “Hot Rod Lincoln”, as they say. What You Get: You get the car, the owner’s manual, 1 keys and key fob, and Bill of Sale and title. You will also get an airport pick-up, if you need it. The car is located in Canon City, Colorado (81212) and the closest real airport is Colorado Springs, Colorado. If you plan to fly-in / drive home, my dad can pick you up at the COS airport….which is about an hour from Canon City, Colorado. Terms: Full payment will need to clear the bank, before the car will be released. Payment needs to be made by Cashier’s Check, following PayPal deposit. The car is garaged at my parents’ home and can remain there until you make travel or shipping arrangements. If you ship the car, you are responsible for that, but my dad will fully cooperate with any shipper you choose. Yes, the mileage is original mileage 2 The factory CD player / changer is mounted in the trunk. It is operated from the dash panel. 3. The Colorado Springs airport is the closest airport with commercial airline service. It's about an hour away. There is Fremont Count Airport for private pilots about 25 minutes away. 4. The paint on the car appears original to me. It's in very good condition - but the car has a few blemishes, the worst of which are shown in pictures. 5. There is no "Buy It Now" price. Dad, just intends to auction the car.
