In 1999 Honda Motorcycle corp. was determined to claim worlds fastest production motorcycle at that time in 1999 the title was held by the KAWASAKI ZX11. So as a result a world Renaud team of engineers would set abroad to design a first class renown sport cruiser and that would be non other then the... HONDA CBR1100XX Blackbird. And the result in 1999 Honda would reclaim that record with CBR1100XX.. This 1999 super bike was originally owned by a senior Honda technician that performed all the scheduled maintenance on this beautiful piece of rolling art work. His reason for letting it go to me was and I quote its just to much for me and after riding it I would say the same applies to me. Don't get me wrong you could Not ride a more civilized bike... You just need to be aware of where you are in the power band it's kind of like an old 472 Cadillac engine.. super smooth, quite but push it and it will put gray hair on your head. The bike is all stock except for the handle bars they are slightly higher for added comfort. The reason I am selling it is its simply too tall for me, if you have an inseam of 31'' or better you will be fine. Yes I could lower it, but i just don't wont to go that rout. As to the paint it has a few miner scratch's 'please see pictures'. Now on to the bikes disposition, it's a vary Quite Bike rev. it up and it sounds like a Fine Italian car.. Not a 1970's SKI BOAT civilized and predictable. The brakes are awesome and the handling is superb. In 1999 HONDA swapped out the carbs for fuel injection, utilizing this technology would not only make more power and torque it would give the added advantage to cold starts, idling and fuel efficiency. It has a water cooled 1137 cc. inline four that makes about 150 HP at the crank. capable of 0-60 in under 3 seconds and top speed of 178.5 MPH. things that come the sale. the bikes comes with a Corbin locking seat, with glove box as well as the stock seat, books, and other odds and ends.
