Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION. HIGH BIDDER WINS AUCTION. WILL NOT END EARLY. First let me say that this is not my car. I am auctioning this 1967 Ford Mustang for a friend who doesn’t do eBay. The car is located in Rockland, Maine. If you would like or need more information please email me and I will do my best to answer your questions. As to myself, I am just a (65) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I recently retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and have worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback which is 100% with (1,101) transactions. Many of those have been muscle cars which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland and Australia. 1967 represented the first redesign for Mustang. The front grille kept the running pony in the corral, but vertical and horizontal bars returned, and the grille opening was enlarged. The side scoops, though non-functional, were designed as two smaller scoops with inlets and were painted the body color. Despite the body style change, coupes, fastbacks, and convertibles were still offered, but the fastback in 1967 extended fully to the rear, giving the car a beefier look than the shorter fastbacks used in 1965 and 1966. The 1967 Mustang appears larger (two and a half inches wider and a half inch taller) if not more aggressive. A majority of the restyling occurs below the beltline (except of course for the fastback, which has the roofline taper to the edge of the rear deck). Wider track, deeper grille with a rectangular mesh insert, more prominent side sculpting and a stepped deck lid with concave taillights are only a few of the year's styling changes. Total U.S. Production: 472,121 Chevrolet Camaro, Mercury Cougar, Pontiac Firebird, and Plymouth Barracuda were all in Mustang's class in 1967, cutting into Mustang's sales figures. Still, Mustang outsold its nearest competitor, Cougar, by a three-to-one margin. After shooting the video and researching the casting numbers and metal tags on the engine and transmission, it is my opinion that the engine and transmissions in this particular Mustang ARE the originals from the factory. Obviously without a vin number on the block, there is no way for me to definitively prove this so I will let you be the judge. Any way you cut it, you will be hard pressed to find another 1967 Mustang, in a No Reserve Auction, with a very low starting bid. You can see the video here: As you can see in the photos and video, this Mustang is far from perfect. However, knowing that you can pretty much build a Mustang from the catalogs today, this would be a very inexpensive introduction into the Mustang market. Take a look at NADA and you will see that the 1967 Mustang 2-door hardtop with a 289 and 4bbl (A Code) with a 4-speed goes from a low retail of $7,155 to a high retail of $36,125. They do not show the 289 2bbl (C-Code) and 3-speed manual transmission but it has to be close to these figures. The undercarriage needs to be addressed as you can see in the photos. The interior is in decent condition. The engine starts and idles fine but needs to be tuned up as it has set for quite some time. The brakes work OK but are pulling to the right. Tires are good and the rims are fair. Looking in the trunk I notice a battery hold down bracket, a remote mirror, 4-way lug wrench and what I assume is the original air cleaner assembly. The spare is there but not the jack assembly. The oil looks to be clean so I assume that the previous owner has recently changed it. The car is a 10-footer that upon closer observation shows signs of surface rust and bubbling in the common areas. Check the end of the photos where I have shown the decode information on the Mustang. The Mustang is being sold in “AS IS” condition. In addition to the Mustang, the winning bidder will receive the 4-speed transmission (see the end of the photos) as well as a new gas tank and fuel sending unit. (see the end of the photos) I highly recommend that serious buyers come themselves or send an agent to see this car in person. I am an individual and do not claim to know everything there is to know about these cars. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of you questions or concerns are resolved prior to bidding and not after. WINNING BIDDER DOES NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO LOOK THIS CAR OVER AFTER THE AUCTION CLOSES TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THEY WANT TO BUY. INSPECTIONS "MUST" BE DONE PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are interested in owning this car, please place a bid TO OWN ONLY NOT TO PASS TIME. Terms of Sale This pre-owned vehicle is being sold "as-is, where is" with absolutely no warranties and/or guarantees either expressed or implied. Winning bidder must contact seller within (48) hours of auction close to confirm purchase by e-mail. A 10% non-refundable deposit is required within (3) business days of auction close. Remainder of selling price is due within (5) business days of auction end. All funds must be in the form of a cashier’s check, certified bank check or wire transfer. If there is no confirmation, seller has the right to offer the vehicle to other bidders. Buyer is responsible for all transport costs. This auction and your bid/participation in this auction are binding contracts and will be dutifully, lawfully enforced. Seller reserves the right to end the auction early without any liability to the seller. FYI: There is no Maine title for this 1967 Mustang as Maine does not issue titles for vehicles that are more than (15) years old. I have sold cars all over the country as well as Canada, England, Switzerland and Australia and have never had a problem. The car will come with a Bill-of-Sale, the Maine registration signed over to the new owner and a copy of the Maine law regarding titles which is on a form issued by the Maine Motor Vehicle DepartmentTHANKS FOR BIDDING
