Up for auction is a 1979 K5 Blazer, this is the “True Barn Find” that you hear about. My buddy bought this truck New in 1979 from Meissner Chevrolet in Glenolden, PA. He drove it off and on until 1988 clocking a mere 31k miles on it before parking it in his barn. Several years ago the barn underwent restoration and the Blazer was moved to the Carriage House next to the Barn where it sits covered today. The Blazer is untouched, it has a Rust-Free body with only Surface Rust on the Chassis. The roof originally had a textured paint to match the fiberglass top on the truck, it was sanded down and put in primer back in the late 80’s, so that will need painting. The only damage on the body is a dent in the rear bumper and tailgate where he backed into a cherry tree years ago, did not damage the power window assembly. The interior is in Great Shape with only dust and some mildew to be wiped away to appear showroom new, even the dashpad is perfect. The drivetrain is complete and untouched 350 cid and will need to be drained of fluids and possibly flushed out for a safe re-start. Motor has been run in recent years but the fuel pump has dried out and will need to be replaced. Anyone who has been looking for a RUST-FREE Blazer Body on the East Coast knows how hard a search for that can be, look no further, here it is.
