Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 1972 Honda CL360 with a clear Minnesota title ready to transfer over to you. As you can see from the pictures it's been heavily modified. It has a Honda CB200 tank, extended swingarm, R6 rearsets, upgraded rear suspension / shocks, cleaned up and painted engine, gusseted frame, shaved front forks, custom seat, carbs cleaned, kickstart only, custom made headlight mounts, Domino brand race throttle, custom tail light, new brake tach and speedo cables, custom made adjustable peep mirror, new clutch and brake levers, new oury grips, new handlebar clamps, the frame under the seat has been enclosed and houses a small 12v battery and an upgraded singal voltage regulator / rectifier. The wiring has been highly simplified with only a single beam headlight along with a tail light and brake light, no blinkers or horn so you will have to use your hand signals. The frame and many parts have been powder coated black. The bike has the right look and lots of work has been spent to get it this way. The tank is in original condition and has some scratches and fading but I like the way it looks so I didn't change it. I am a welder fabricator by trade, all structural modifications made to the frame and/or the swingarm were performed correctly. PLEASE READ: I went to fire it up for the first time tonight and had a bit of a hard time getting it started. Once I did get it running I couldn't get the bike to idle. I just don't have the time or ambition to mess with it. I was a bit upset tonight that I couldn't get it running decent and decided to list it here just to get it out of my hair... I'll probably regret it later I'm sure. Someone here will get a deal if they know how to tune a bike. Also know that the petcock leaks and will need a rebuild kit. Not sure how many miles are on it, the gauges on the bike are not original to this bike and the title doesn't specify. The front tire has some weather checking... I wouldn't be afraid to run it another season but you may want to change it. The kick starter had to be bent out just a bit so it can be kicked over... it still hits the footpeg but it was enough travel for me to get it started. No baffels in the exhaust... it's rather loud. Because of the running issues and considering the age of the bike I don't offer any sort of waranty and is sold in "as is" condition. I've described the bike to the best of my ability.. there may be things that I have missed that I can't be responsible for. Shipping this bike is up to the buyer. That means that you find a shipping company and handle all the details of this yourself. Once you select a shipping company and they contact me I will assist the movers by making the bike available for pickup at a date / time the movers and I agree upon. I will not release the bike and title to the shipping company until I am paid in full. I prefer email for communication and will be in close contact with you throughout this process to ensure a smoooooth transaction. I require $250 down payment through paypal within 24 hours of auction close. The balance of the auction must be paid by certified bank check or cashiers check sent to me by certified mail, I will not accept paypal payment for the balance of this auction.... not even if it's sent through paypal as a gift so please don't ask. I will accept cash if you wish to pick up the bike in person. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. On Apr-09-15 at 06:41:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Anyone may arrange and I encourage bidders to inspect the bike prior to auction end. I've been asked a couple questions about the running issue, I really don't know what is wrong with it. I did have it running and it would continue to run as long as I didn't let it idle. Not sure if it needs carb adjustment, valve adjustment or ???. There was some smoke coming from the breather on the valve cover when I had it running. This breather is supposed to be routed to the intake but i just have a filter on it since there is no airbox. I also forgot to mention that there is a small piece broken off the headlight housing... it doesn't affect it's operation and is hardly noticeable. Still a lot of value for your money... sort out the running issue and you have a great bike for the summer.
