1978 Dodge power wagon short wide regular cab 440CI 4Barrel 4x4 w150.Runs and drives shifts steers fantastic.Rust free from Oregon,we don't have salt on the roads like the east coast and mid west.The OEM 440 engine and 727 transmission came out.Engine compartment was detailed,the frame was cleaned with wire wheel and wire brush,the frame was coated with POR 15,also the underside of the bed was coated.The cab under body was cleaned and undercoated.Next I found a low mile 440 from a motorhome,pulled it apart super clean,no cyl.ridge,hone marks a plenty,freshened it up with rods/main bearings timing chain and gear set and new valve seals,also had the thermoquad rebuilt.Trans had been overhauled with a shift kit before i got but had not very many miles on it,trans and transfere case were cleaned had some seals replaced.Other misc. items replaced like water pump,plugs ,plug wires,air filter and more.The seats and console was reupholstered and came out nice along with new carpet.New exhaust with thrush flowmaster knock-offs.When you drop the hammer it down shifts quick and you here the old familiar sound of the 440 4bbl opening up.I bought this a couple years ago because we had a truck just like this.Kind of been there done that ready to cut it loose so someone else can enjoy.
