This auction is for a 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Convertible. It is in very good condition. It is an actual 2 owner car (not including myself) and has been maintained well throughout its life. It starts, runs and drive excellently. Sits and idles smoothly, clutch feels good and transmission shifts smoothly. The body is straight and rust free. The paint is excellent other than a few small chips and the area behind the front passenger side tire where the rock chip guard has been removed. I believe that new rock chip guard will repair the look of this area without any paintwork. The top is nice with a clear back window, the top boot looks like new. The interior does show normal wear but is basically in good and presentable condition. All of the dash gauges work and all of the lights go out that are supposed to! The trunk is clean and original, the under hood area looks great, engine sits and idles smoothly. The tires have at least 50% tread and the wheels look good. The dash has the normal peeling and scaling of the cover vinyl as is common on theses cars. The plastic shell under the vinyl covering seems smooth and solid. They sell covers to repair this or I have seen articles on Youtube where people covered it themselves with upholstery vinyl. The convertible top power assist does not work, however it is so easy to put up, by yourself, from the drivers seat I can't see anyone needing to repair that function. All in all a very presentable and driveable Porsche 944 that is very quick and drives like a dream. I have the owners manuals and the service book showing all of the Porsche dealer done service marked until about 2000. The second owner had service done at a local sports car service center. This car spent all of its life in north central Florida until it came into my possession last Fall.When I ran it on Autocheck the score was 72, higher than the 24-50 ratings for the majority of these cars.
