1964 Comet Cyclone SURVIVOR! As manufacturers entered the muscle car era in 1964, THIS car, along with others like the GTO, the Mustang and the Malibu SS led the way. This is a rock solid, NO rust Oklahoma/Texas car that was originally sold by Fred Jones Motors in Okla. City. Floors, rockers, trunk are all super solid. Body is straight. Shows 89k on the odometer but I have no way of knowing if it has flipped over or not. This is a VERY original car and a perfect candidate for an EASY restoration. 289 4 bbl. 3 speed automatic. FACTORY underdash air! Optional Power steering and Power brakes. Still has its ORIGINAL bucket seat/console interior that is in amazingly great shape. Came with factory, dash mounted tachometer. Tach has had the internal works replaced but still has the original mounting cup and hardware. No chips or cracks in windshield or side glasses. Window regulators work great. AM radio, heater, remote mirror, wipers, lights, and horn still work! Speedo and gauges work. Has had one repaint a few years ago. Paint is still very shiny but has some chips. It starts fast, runs, drives and shifts but does need some work. Most of the weather stripping still in place but has dry rotted. Has oil leaks as one might expect after 50 years, AC needs work and steering is very loose. Brand new tires. Original OEM chrome-reverse-look wheel covers. The worse thing I can say about the car is that the lip inside the rear fender wheel wells was cut back by a former owner in order to fit larger tires. You cannot tell it was done unless you feel or look underneath but it was not the best modification job.
