Hello All, I am selling a nice 2000 Vw TDI Beetle with the GLS trim package whitch includes Leather, sunroof, power windows/locks. As mentioned this is the 1.9 Diesel with automatic transmission. The car is a one ower that is in very good condition but will NEED WORK. The car spins over but will not start. I sprayed a small amount of starter fluid in and it started and ran until the starter fluid burned off. My guess a fuel pump or a air leak in the fuel system. There appears to be a newer injection pump on top of the engine, and there is a sticker showing the timing belt has been changed but the mileage has worn off. There is a little paint fade on the leading edge of the roof, other than that car in very good shape. A RUST FREE Southern car. Transmission is super smooth, and engine has great power and pick up. I put new tires on it today and dropped off at clean shop for a full detail. It should be done Saturday, if so I will update/replace current pics. Someone ask why didn't I have the work done before posting it, because I did not find a knowledgeable TDI mechanic I could trust until after I posted it. Diesel engines are unique, and you need the right mechanic to work on them. If not, other mechanics will guess at it until some works. Another thing I have CLEAR title in hand along with CLEAN History report. On Mar-13-15 at 15:45:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Final Update: I picked the car up from detail shop today, Looks GREAT ! Ebay would only allow me add 5 NEW pics of the car, so the last 5 pics are the most recent pics I took of the car today. Note the pic of the dash the new miles of 111,135, the engine is running and the tachometer is idling at 900 RPM. The only items I see could use attention is the driver interior door handle is loose, the ABS light is on, and the battery is more than 5 years buts starts the car fine. I know it's been a bit of a journey this week for this car, but it's well worth. It looks GOOD and runs GREAT and ready for a new home. Good luck bidding
