CONTACT: Please text or call me at my new cell # if you're interested or for any questions. ABOUT ME: I'm the original owner and a licensed marine engineer who took good care of this car. I'm selling the car because I just moved to downtown Milwaukee, where I don't need a car anymore (they have a great train and bus system, plus it's expensive to rent a parking space there!). Otherwise, I would keep this car because it runs great and has been very reliable. I'm selling the car from my mom's house in Imlay City, MI. OVERALL CONDITION: The car is in very good to low excellent condition with a clean, smoke-free interior, minor body flaws, and a smoothly running engine/transmission. It runs really well overall, but it has some cosmetic flaws as well as some error codes for emissions (not a big problem in Michigan) and the SRS/airbag light is on, which will require service at a Honda dealership. BODY DAMAGE: There was a 20-25 mph front end collision in '05 that left some internal parts a little bit bent (but still working fine) after the cosmetic repairs. Also, the hood is slightly dented/scratched from when I hit a pheasant.INTERIOR: Clean and smoke-free. Floor mats are in good condition. Mostly used for commuting on the freeway, not as a passenger car. The rear speakers are new, but I damaged the grill on the right side and couldn't repair it nicely without replacing the whole deck. LOCATIONS: The car has been driven in South Carolina and Connecticut (no salt on roads) for about 80,000 miles, and the rest in Michigan and Wisconsin (salt on roads). There is a normal amount of rust for these locations. INCLUDED ITEMS: CD player with WMA and MP3 Disc compatibility; Fire extinguisher for emergency roadside use; Hydraulic jack and nice tire-iron; Spare 'donut tire' for emergency use. WARRANTIES: There are no warranties for this car, except for the BF Goodrich tires which have nearly 60,000 miles left on their warranty. EMISSIONS CODES: There are two emissions electronic fault codes, neither of which affects performance of the car and neither of which will be a problem for registration since Michigan law has no emissions requirements. The codes are P0131 (Oxygen sensor) and P0240 (Catalytic converter low efficiency). Practically speaking, these codes mean that the emissions coming out of the tailpipe aren't as clean as the original design. It's an ULEV (Ultra-low emissions vehicle) in the first place, so even with reduced efficiency, the exhaust is probably still pretty clean compared to many other vehicles on the road. Still, I want to be honest and list everything that I know is wrong with the car, even if it doesn't really affect anything. Michigan has no laws for emissions testing when you register the car, so these codes should not be a problem for you in any practical way that I can think of at this time. SRS LIGHT: The SRS (seat restraint system) light is on, which indicates a problem with the airbag system. This could be as simple as a switch in the seat belts, which Honda will replace for free, or it could be a more complicated repair. I've lowered the price by $300 from the Bluebook price to account for this potential repair cost. Because the SRS light is on, the airbags are electronically disabled until a Honda dealership resets or repairs the Seat Restraint System. If it's a seatbelt problem, then Honda will repair it free of charge. GAS MILEAGE: I recently tested the freeway gas mileage and got 37.8 miles per gallon on the freeway averaged over a 400 mile trip and over 32 mpg when the car was fully loaded for my recent move. RECENT MAINTENANCE: Replaced VTEC transmission due to class wide problem with this make/model (2012).Replaced tires with new BF Goodrich tires at 149,650 miles (75,000 mile warranty included, copy of receipt will be provided).Replaced air filter at approximately 152,000 miles. Replaced spark plugs at approximately 155,000 miles.Replaced air-bags at Honda dealership due to recall (Fall, 2014). Replaced turn signal switch at Honda dealership due to recall (Fall, 2014). Replaced fuel pump filter and tank gasket at approximately 156,000 miles, inspected fuel pump strainer.Replaced headlight bulbs and housings (Fall, 2014). Replaced windshield wiper blades (Fall, 2014).Replaced rear speakers (Fall, 2014).Touched up some curb-level scrapes/rust spots with matching paint (Fall, 2014).Replaced rear hazard light bulbs (Winter, 2014).Replaced front bumper cover and grill with new after-market parts (Winter, 2014). Replaced timing belt, AC/alternator belt, power steering belt, and water pump (161,800 miles)Drained radiator & replaced coolant with fresh 50/50 antifreeze/water mix (161,800 miles).Replaced synthetic oil and filter (161,800 miles).Replaced Upstream and Downstream Oxygen Sensors (Winter, 2015)Replaced Thermostat (Winter, 2015)Vacuumed interior and cleaned vinyl surfaces. Replaced rear hazard lights. Topped off windshield wiper fluid.BOTTOM LINE: Basically, I'm ready to make a deal and sign the clean Michigan title over if you're ready to buy. I listed a lot of details here, but that's because I want to be honest and up-front about the history of the car. I hope you appreciate that, since most people either wouldn't know this much about their car or wouldn't tell you all the facts. Thanks for looking! Feel free to text me at my new cell number listed above!
